Full name ideas for Beau

My most recent name crush is [name_m]Beau[/name_m]. I tend to love fairly classic boys names, my top two for years now have been [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u], [name_m]Ted[/name_m], [name_u]Teddy[/name_u], or [name_m]Bear[/name_m]) and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Hank[/name_m] or [name_m]Hal[/name_m]). [name_m]Beau[/name_m] has recently come on my radar and I’m smitten, but I’m not sure if it’s usable as a stand-alone name, especially considering my taste.
What are some more substantial names that could get to the nickname [name_m]Beau[/name_m]?
Or if I did use [name_m]Beau[/name_m] as the full name for a future kid, what would be a good, substantial middle name to pair it with?

I’ve always loved Beaumonde

Beaumont is cool

Beaudan, Beauford, Beaumont, [name_m]Beauregard[/name_m], [name_m]Boaz[/name_m], [name_m]Boden[/name_m], [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], [name_m]Bogart[/name_m], [name_m]Bowen[/name_m], [name_m]Flambeau[/name_m]

[name_m]Beauregard[/name_m], I love this name.

You could change up the spelling a little and name them [name_m]Boniface[/name_m] maybe

Apart from names containing [name_m]Beau[/name_m], my first thought was actually [name_m]Boston[/name_m]. I know that doesn’t sound like [name_m]Beau[/name_m] so I don’t know if that’s too much of a stretch for you. Here are some others - all start with [name_m]Bo[/name_m]:

[name_m]Bourne[/name_m]
[name_m]Bowen[/name_m]
[name_m]Bourke[/name_m]
[name_m]Bosley[/name_m]
[name_m]Bosco[/name_m]
[name_m]Bolton[/name_m]
[name_m]Bohdan[/name_m]
[name_m]Bogart[/name_m]
[name_m]Boaz[/name_m]

Oddly enough i saw this sort of question on another forum HOWEVER it was asking about the name Beauden said [name_m]Boden[/name_m]. asking opinions of it. i thought it was kinda cool!!

I love the name [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] and wanted to call him [name_m]Bo[/name_m]. However I couldn’t get the hubs on board. I don’t know if you could spell it [name_m]Beau[/name_m] with [name_m]Boaz[/name_m]. It seems too much of a stretch. Is it [name_m]Beau[/name_m] or would you do [name_m]Bo[/name_m]? Same sound, just different spelling. Not sure if that’s a big deal to you.

I think [name_m]Beau[/name_m] can standalone on its own. Otherwise, my fav is Beaumont.

I like [name_m]Beauregard[/name_m], though I’m not Southern enough to pull it off.

I have taught a boy called Bodean before. He was known as [name_m]Bo[/name_m] ([name_m]Beau[/name_m])!

I really love [name_m]Beauchamp[/name_m] and [name_m]Beauregard[/name_m]. I do think [name_m]Beau[/name_m] can stand alone as well.
Great name. Tough one to match a mn to though. [name_m]Beau[/name_m]…
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]William[/name_m]

I think it needs a stalwart classic middle.

Personally I’ve only ever heard [name_m]Beau[/name_m] as a nickname for [name_m]Beauregard[/name_m]. It also happens to be the name of a character on Days of Our Lives. I like it though! Cute for a little boy!

My father’s name is [name_m]Beau[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_m]Beau[/name_m], and I think he wears it well. Perhaps I am biased, but extended versions always seem to take away from what makes [name_m]Beau[/name_m] a wonderful name.

Oh and [name_m]Edgar[/name_m] is his middle name, if you were curious.

Thanks for all the suggestions. This is a tricky one for me. I’m not a fan of the longer names such as [name_m]Beauregard[/name_m], and [name_m]Boden[/name_m] and [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] are cute but not “classic” enough for my taste. [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] ([name_m]Bo[/name_m]) is kind of nice though, I think that one could grow on me because I have a weak spot for old-testament male names.

You could name him anything and call him [name_m]Beau[/name_m]. It’s just the [name_m]French[/name_m] word for handsome.

If you are looking for a more classic name [name_m]Brandon[/name_m] nn [name_m]Beau[/name_m] is my suggestion.
I think that [name_m]Beau[/name_m] could work as a nickname for any name beginning with B and [name_m]Brandon[/name_m] is the best name I can come up with on the spot.

I think [name_m]Beau[/name_m] is a very handsome name…it was a favorite of mine a while ago but my partner didn’t like it…

However, if you want [name_m]Beau[/name_m] as a nn or abbreviated name, what about:

[name_m]Robert[/name_m]
[name_f]Bronte[/name_f]
[name_m]Bono[/name_m]
[name_m]Branwell[/name_m]
Bardyllis
Bear
Bryar
Bogart
Beren
Baron

Also, you might like Ulysses for a MN…I personally love Beau Ulysses - it’s a sublime name IMHO !! Other suggestions:
