Full names for Fox, Leo and Wolf

Hello Berries,

DH and I liked [name]Maxwell[/name] but thanks to [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] it’s been taken off the list.

We both like [name]Fox[/name], [name]Leo[/name] and [name]Wolf[/name], but only as nn and not stand alone names.

Any suggestions for full names that could result in any of these as nn?

WDYT of Foxwell as an alternative to [name]Maxwell[/name]? Not made up, it is a legit surname.

Thanks, looking forward to your ideas.

I wouldn’t take [name]Maxwell[/name] off your list just because of [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name]. It’s such a handsome name.

But let’s see:

[name]Leon[/name]
[name]Lionel[/name]
[name]Leland[/name] (bit of a stretch, but basically any [name]Le[/name] name could work with [name]Leo[/name] as a nn)
[name]Wolfgang[/name]

I’m not sure about Foxwell.

I wouldn’t take [name]Maxwell[/name] off either. I actually love [name]Fox[/name] as a given name (I know a little boy named [name]Fox[/name]) but I would use [name]Todd[/name] nn [name]Fox[/name]. [name]Todd[/name] means fox.

[name]Leo[/name] = [name]Leonard[/name] or [name]Leon[/name] for me
[name]Wolf[/name] = This is another one I’d use a name that means [name]Wolf[/name]:

[name]Alf[/name] = noble wolf
[name]Dolph[/name] = noble wolf
Hrolf = famous wolf
[name]Kenyon[/name] = little wolf
Loup = wolf
[name]Lowell[/name] = little wolf
Lycaon = wolf
Lykaion = wolf (from my signature)
Randolh/[name]Randall[/name] = shield wolf
Ranulf = shield wolf
[name]Raul[/name] = wise wolf
[name]Ulric[/name] = wolf power
[name]Wolfgang[/name]
[name]Zev[/name] = wolf

I would use [name]Wolf[/name] as a nickname for any of those.

I would also use [name]Fox[/name] or [name]Wolf[/name] as a middle name and call them by their middle name for a nickname.

[name]Leo[/name]-

[name]Leon[/name] (personal favourite), [name]Leonard[/name], [name]Leonardo[/name], [name]Leonel[/name]/Leonil/Leonal/[name]Leonello[/name] (all mean [name]Lion[/name]/[name]Lion[/name] strength); Leomaris/Leomarino/Leomario ([name]Lion[/name] of the sea-I adore Leomaris); [name]Leopold[/name]; [name]Napoleon[/name]; [name]Galileo[/name] (also love); [name]Leonidas[/name]

[name]Fox[/name]-
Foxwell (I like this one); Foxleigh/Foxley/Foxly; Fawks/Faux; [name]Foxen[/name]/[name]Foxe[/name]; [name]Faulkner[/name]/Folkner/[name]Falkner[/name] (at a push); Faulkland/Faulklan (again at a push) and names that mean [name]Fox[/name] = [name]Todd[/name], Crevan

[name]Wolf[/name]-
[name]Wolfgang[/name], Woolsey, [name]Wolfe[/name], [name]Wilfred[/name], [name]Wolfhart[/name]/Wolfhardt, Wolfert, Ethelwolf/Ethelwulf; Wulfram
names that mean wolf= [name]Conall[/name]/[name]Conal[/name]/[name]Connal[/name]/[name]Conell[/name]/Konnal/Konall; [name]Connor[/name]/[name]Conor[/name]/[name]Conner[/name]/Konor/[name]Konnor[/name]; [name]Caleb[/name]/[name]Kaleb[/name]; Alolph/[name]Adolphe[/name]/[name]Adolfo[/name]; [name]Arno[/name]; [name]Channing[/name]; [name]Conan[/name]; [name]Faolan[/name]; Fenris; Friolph/Fridolf; [name]Lowell[/name] (still has the [name]Maxwell[/name] and Foxwell feel); [name]Lyall[/name]; [name]Phelan[/name]; [name]Ralph[/name]; [name]Randall[/name]/[name]Randal[/name]/[name]Randel[/name];[name]Raoul[/name];[name]Wolcott[/name] (I love this); Wolfert ([name]Wolf[/name] army-love)

For [name]Fox[/name]:
Foxwell
[name]Todd[/name]-means [name]Fox[/name]
[name]Foxen[/name]

For [name]Wolf[/name]:
[name]Wilfred[/name]
[name]Wolfe[/name]
[name]Wolfgang[/name]

For [name]Leo[/name]:
[name]Leon[/name]
[name]Leonard[/name]
[name]Leonel[/name]

I love [name]Fox[/name] by itself. Very creative, but not weird. I’ve never met a [name]Fox[/name].

[name]Leo[/name] I prefer by itself, it’s one of my favorites, but if you must make a full name out of it, you could consider [name]Leon[/name], [name]Leonardo[/name], or [name]Leonidas[/name].

[name]Wolf[/name] I also prefer by itself. :slight_smile:

Great choices!

Some other berry on here came up with the idea of [name]Foster[/name] nn [name]Fox[/name] and i have been head over heels ever since!

As for [name]Wolf[/name], I like [name]Wolfgang[/name] but more on the classic side i think even [name]William[/name] nn [name]Woolf[/name] could be an awesome option. Maybe [name]William[/name] [name]Finn[/name], [name]William[/name] [name]Foster[/name], [name]William[/name] [name]Fifer[/name], [name]William[/name] F____ would work as a full name for [name]Woolf[/name]!

And then theres [name]Leo[/name]. I love him all on his own, but love the suggestions of [name]Leon[/name] .

Another name you might consider is [name]Hawthorne[/name] nn [name]Hawk[/name], [name]Barron[/name] nn [name]Bear[/name], [name]Orson[/name] nn [name]Bear[/name].

xo [name]Viv[/name]

I really like [name]Foster[/name] nn [name]Fox[/name] as the PP mentioned. Other favorites already mentioned include Foxley & Foxwell (I think it works okay!)
I still love [name]Maxwell[/name] as the number one above any others but I also love [name]Leonardo[/name] nn [name]Leo[/name]!
