Currently crushing on [name_u]Lennie[/name_u] for a girl, but I’d prefer a more “formal” name that uses it for a nickname. [name_f]Leona[/name_f] is a family name…I’m just not totally sold on it. [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] would be another potential option, but I’m also not sure I love it (maybe it’s something about the long “o” sound?).
Would love other suggestions to get to [name_u]Lennie[/name_u]!
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Leni[/name_f]! I prefer [name_f]Leni[/name_f] to [name_u]Lennie[/name_u], but either way, so cute! It feels really European since I usually hear it as short for [name_f]Helene[/name_f] or [name_f]Eleni[/name_f]. [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] nn [name_f]Leni[/name_f] is on my own list, but I think you could do [name_f]Lenora[/name_f], [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f], [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], [name_f]Magdalen[/name_f], etc., too!
my sister is [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and goes by [name_f]Leni[/name_f] (don’t ask me how she got it). [name_u]Lennon[/name_u] and [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] are also good options
Thank you, everyone! I’m realizing I don’t quite love any of the potential long forms for [name_u]Lennie[/name_u]
[name_u]Lennon[/name_u] and [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] are really cute - especially [name_u]Lennox[/name_u] - but I feel very doubtful DH would buy into either.
Either way, this was a good exercise to learn that [name_u]Lennie[/name_u] may just live as a little crush on my heart
