If you like Amelia, Amalia seems pretty perfect!
And really I feel like any ‘mary’ name would work as well (aka Marian, Marilyn, Maren etc.) This iant a a ‘Mary’ name but Malin would also work well!
I was thinking so!
It’s a name I love but I’m worried if the future daughter would worry about not having a fuller, formal name.
Like [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] “Kate” or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] “Josie”
You make a good point - there aren’t really proper full forms for [name_f]Molly[/name_f] - it would be best to use on it’s own. @missasolemnis@DCAT
I just thought of [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f], since it has [name_f]Mary[/name_f] in it, I think [name_f]Molly[/name_f] could work. it might be to much of a stretch though
Though you don’t prefer [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], you could start looking there to find a more passable derivative, since [name_f]Molly[/name_f] is an acceptable nn for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].
@coolauntieviolet love the stretchy Amaryllis>Mary>Molly connection!
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] “Molly” is my personal favorite! It’s a bit stretchy but I think it works
edit: I also know a [name_f]Mary[/name_f] [name_f]Elaine[/name_f] (fn + mn, not a double barrel) who goes by [name_f]Molly[/name_f] so I think any [name_f]Mary[/name_f] variant + a MN with an L in it works!
