I’ve come to love the name [name]Gus[/name] but I feel like it’s too nicknamey to be a stand-alone. Suggestions for a full first name? Thank you! 
There are so many great ones! I have a cat named [name]Gus[/name], and his full name is [name]Gustavo[/name] (after [name]Gustavo[/name] Fring from the show Breaking Bad).
There’s also [name]Gustav[/name], [name]August[/name], [name]Augustus[/name], [name]Augustine[/name], [name]Angus[/name], [name]Fergus[/name], [name]Ferguson[/name]… and for the adventurous, [name]Argus[/name]!
I know a [name]Gus[/name] whose full name is [name]Angus[/name]. It works very well for him!
I know two boys named [name]Gus[/name]. The 6mth old is [name]Gustav[/name]. Though his mama has a Russian/Swedish heritage. The other is a 3yr old who is [name]Angus[/name]. Two cute options I think.
I’ve had this exact same problem and I don’t like any of the full names - [name]August[/name]/us isn’t my style at all and [name]Fergus[/name], [name]Angus[/name] and [name]Gustav[/name] all feel too ethnic to me. Have decided I like it best as a standalone name, but will probably keep it for a pet as it doesn’t work too well with OH’s surname in regards to length.

I like [name]Angus[/name], [name]Augustus[/name], [name]August[/name] and [name]Gustav[/name]! It might work for [name]Magnus[/name] too!

In [name]Cinderella[/name] she names the mouse [name]Octavius[/name], and nn’s him [name]Gus[/name]… Kind of a stretch but it might work
My favorite is [name]August[/name]. [name]Augustin[/name]/[name]Augusten[/name] is pretty cool too!
There are some great suggestions on here. My favorite is probably [name]Augustus[/name]. Though [name]Magnus[/name], even with the stretch, might come as 2nd now!
On Psych Dule [name]Hill[/name]'s character is nn’s [name]Gus[/name]. though his full name is [name]Burton[/name] Guster. Despite the fact that Guster is a ln I feel like it could work as more grown-up an alternative to [name]Gusty[/name].
