Okay so I absolutely love the name [name]Lani[/name] but would only want to use it as a nickname. I haven’t fallen in love with any of the fns I’ve seen for it though, namely [name]Alana[/name], which is beautiful but too trendy for me, and [name]Lana[/name], which I also love but can only think of [name]Lana[/name] [name]Del[/name] [name]Rey[/name] when I say it (not that that’s a bad thing, just a bit too strong an association). I do like [name]Elana[/name] but it doesn’t wow me. Ideas please?! I love the nickname so much, lol. thanks 
Are you saying it as Lah-nee or [name]Lay[/name]-nee? I know one girl with [name]Lani[/name] as her given name and she pronounces it as [name]Lay[/name]-nee. As for the [name]Lay[/name]-nee pronunciation I like [name]Delaney[/name], [name]Elena[/name]/[name]Elaina[/name]/[name]Elaine[/name] or [name]Helena[/name].
The only ones I can think of are [name]Melanie[/name] (accent on the ah sound), or [name]Leilani[/name] - but if [name]Alana[/name] is too trendy for you, I’m sure those are too
