Reggie and I met at a concert in my hometown. We were friends for two years before dating. He proposed at that same concert three years after we began dating. Our families are both large so our wedding was big. I wore a floorlength ballgown and Reggie wore a suit. We honeymooned in Ireland, and now we live in Minneapolis, Minnesota!

[1] We have a son! His name is Oliver Jay Whitton.

[2] We fall unexpectedly pregnant with our second son, Atticus Ray Whitton.

[3] We go on a big camping trip for two weeks to the boundary waters! Oli and Atticus may be little, but they love the outdoors! It was all according to plan, except the bear that stole our dinner the fifth night!

[4] We have a daughter! Her name is Lennox Marie Whitton. Oli is unsure about his new sister, but Atticus is happy for a new sibling to boss around.

[5] We fall unexpectedly pregnant with our second son! His name is Simon Wesley Whitton. All three kids welcome him with open arms.

[6] Our family adopts a puppy! He is an ivory lab named Moose. Oli and Atticus love him, but Leni and Si are a bit hesitant. Oli starts kindergarten!

We’ve always know each other! We were born 11 hours apart in the same hospital and grew up in houses on the same cul-de-sac and our parents are best friends. We were always together- playing tag, riding bikes, studying together. It wasn’t until summer break after our junior years at separate colleges that we realized that there might be more to our relationship. We started dating and 4 years later he proposed after my graduation from law school. We honeymooned in Latvia where his grandparents emigrated from. I’m a general practice attorney and he is a high school history teacher in the same small town we grew up in.

Year 1 - We are happy to get pregnant and surprised with fraternal twin girls - [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] & [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Samantha[/name_f]. We name them [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] after our Moms. We are lucky to have families that are so close. Our Moms (and often Dads too) come every [name_f]Monday[/name_f] and [name_f]Wednesday[/name_f] to take care of the babies.
Year 2 - A tiny black cat shows up in our yard. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] kept saying “Kibbeh” instead of kitty so we now have a cat named after a Middle Eastern food. :slight_smile:

Year 4 - Triplets [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Sullivan[/name_u], [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m], & [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] are born. They are born early but only spend a short time in the hospital.

[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] was born at 11:55 pm on [name_f]May[/name_f] 31st and [name_f]Zelda[/name_f] at 12:12 am on [name_u]June[/name_u] 1st, twins born in different months!
Year 6 - [name_u]Nick[/name_u] surprises me with a vacation. With 8 kids 5 and under we don’t go far. He rents a huge house at a beach town a few hours away and brings along both our families. The kids are delighted to have their aunts and uncles at their beck and call too. We leave everyone home one night and have a special night alone. (which leads to…)

Year 5: After trying to get pregnant for a while, we turn to fertility treatments. We find our selves pregnant with Quintuplets! Sadly, at 12 weeks gestation, I miscarry 1 of them and then another at 14 weeks. All things seem to be going ok, until at 28 weeks gestation I go into labor and give birth to 2 girls and a boy. Sadly the boy dies just a little while after birth, and both girls are very sickly, one with severe asthma and the other with a rare blood condition.
