What are the funniest/most interesting version of your favourite combos when you change the names to international variations, diminutives and nicknames, or archaic versions?
[name_f]My[/name_f] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Nicanor[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] would become Shug Kanasha Ödön by virtue of Shug being a Scottish nickname for Hug- names, Kanasha being a Russian diminutive of [name_m]Nicanor[/name_m]/Nikanor, and Ödön being the Hungarian form of [name_m]Edmund[/name_m].
Here’s a helpful link, just change “anna” to your name of choice:
Some more:
Arthur Vyvyan Louis - Tuur Vivianus Koldo (dutch, late roman, basque)
Rose Lavinia Charlotte - Rosina Vinnie Séarlait (italian, english, irish)
Flora Elisabeth Margot - Fiorella Bettina Meta (italian, diminutive in var. lang., german)
Oscar Frederick Lillie - Asgeir Veeti Lilian (norwegian, finnish, french)
Mabel Augusta Iris - Amabel Guusje Irida (english,dutch, greek)
Violet Cecilia Mary - Viorica Sissel Miep (romanian,norwegian, dutch)
Victor Lionel August - Gwythyr Leonty Aku (welsh, russian, finnish)
Ada Rosalind Mary - Aude Rosaline Masha (french, english, russian)
Emma Rosamund Lily - Ima Rosemonde Lilja (dutch, french, icelandic)
Persephone [name_f]Freyja[/name_f] [name_f]Nyx[/name_f] can become [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Freyde[/name_f] [name_u]Night[/name_u]. Not quite as much, but there nonetheless
Not most interesting, but most “boring” variant of [name_f]Josepha[/name_f] [name_f]Ermentrude[/name_f] is [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Josepha[/name_f] [name_f]Ermentrude[/name_f] can also be [name_f]Pien[/name_f] Imke
There is no way I would have connected [name_f]Pien[/name_f] Imke to [name_f]Josepha[/name_f] [name_f]Ermentrude[/name_f], haha it’s great!
And Vavřinec Bálint sounds like he should be a famous author or philosopher!
@rosepip it’s so interesting to see which names are connected somehow. [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Freyde[/name_f] [name_u]Night[/name_u] is actually quite nice and seems very NBerry-esque!
@Paxramena
[name_m]Siarl[/name_m] Ass & [name_f]Ofelia[/name_f] Gorm are quite unfortunate! But Nibelungen [name_m]Jacob[/name_m], [name_f]Josefina[/name_f] Auscultare and Fómhar Goodwill are also quite something. I actually really like [name_m]Fenn[/name_m] [name_m]Petter[/name_m], though!
@Randomdude555
I’m glad you think so, I also have much fun reading the responses! For [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]Auberon[/name_u], how about Priit [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] [name_u]Avery[/name_u] (estonian, english, english), I think that fits the bill of this thread and feels entirely removed from your original combo (which is very handsome btw).
@emelfem
Panka Luus is really quite interesting, I definitely prefer [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] to that!
