My daughter’s name is the name of the Greek muse of comedy, although it doesn’t directly mean “comedy”. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] means laughter, but I’m having another girl.
Are there any other girls names that are related to comedy or humor in any way, even indirectly?
I love the suggestion of [name_u]Risa[/name_u]!
The only ones I can think of are ones that mean happiness like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] or [name_f]Alena[/name_f]
Unless you want to name your child after a comedian, then there’s [name_f]Amy[/name_f], [name_f]Ellen[/name_f] or [name_u]Fallon[/name_u]
[name_u]Risa[/name_u] is a phenomenal suggestion!!!
I couldn’t really think of any others for laughter but here’s my thought process and suggestions:
[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] can be spelled [name_m]Issac[/name_m] and that spelled backwards is [name_f]Cassi[/name_f] … although if you plan on having more children and want to name your son [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] you probably don’t want to do that.
The [name_f]Muse[/name_f] your daughter is named after is also a muse of poetry and one of the other Muses of poetry is [name_f]Calliope[/name_f]… although that may make you feel forced to stick to a theme if you have more kids.
I had to brush up on my history for this response but the internet told me [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] is portrayed wearing [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], and [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] is a pretty cute name! A connection but probably not the right one you’re looking for.
So… [name_u]Risa[/name_u] is still my fave suggestion but I thought I’d offer those up even though they’re not comedy themed like you asked for! I’ll keep brainstorming and if I think of something I like better than [name_u]Risa[/name_u] I’ll post it!
