So I am writing a story set in the future (not sure the exact year but I was thinking anywhere from 2050-2100s) based around a girl who has been accepted into an elite space program (the NSET program), who are training young people aged 18-20 on how to become engineers, pilots, etc. so that they can go into space and explore for [name_f]Earth[/name_f]. A month after basic training, each person is put into a team of four people. Four people who will join them in training and hopefully, if they all pass, into their future jobs as future space explorers.
So I have a name for my main character, [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Aleksandra[/name_f] Novassen, but I need help in naming her team members/friends. I need names for three characters, one of which is female and the other two are male. The female and one of the males are from rich families who got them into the program and the other male is from a poor family and he got in through a tough exam.
Names I’m looking for are futuristic sounding names that have a good ring to them. Names I’ve considered are Castilla, [name_f]Isabel[/name_f], [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_m]Roman[/name_m], [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_m]Jax[/name_m], [name_m]Ty[/name_m], [name_u]Rory[/name_u], [name_m]Perseus[/name_m], but I don’t have any real idea of what to name them. Something unique preferably.
Names I don’t really want are [name_m]Castor[/name_m], [name_m]Pollux[/name_m], [name_m]Dimitri[/name_m], [name_m]Anton[/name_m], [name_f]Ramona[/name_f], [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], as these are all names I’ve used for other characters. Names I want to avoid are overused names, either used today or in futuristic novels.
[name_f]Earth[/name_f] is in a sort of Utopian state if that helps any. Any name ideas?
