[name]Hi[/name] Berries,
Those of you who have been following and responding to my threads and thought processes will probably not be surprised to find out that we decided on [name]Gabrielle[/name] [name]Marianne[/name] for my beautiful second daughter born this week. She will also be known as [name]Gabby[/name] (which I know some Berries aren’t so keen on, but we like it!)
My other daughter, [name]Lauren[/name] [name]Rose[/name]'s mn is one of my mother’s name’s and [name]Gabrielle[/name]'s mn [name]Marianne[/name] is my [name]MIL[/name]'s name. My [name]MIL[/name] lives in [name]England[/name] and we are in Australia; she didn’t know that we had picked her name until [name]Gabrielle[/name] was born, so it was a special surprise for her. She said that she is so touched that she starts crying when she tells people. I am so happy about having this way of letting her know that we feel connected even though we aren’t physically close.
Some of you may remember that I had one little worry that [name]Gabrielle[/name] may be a bit too similar to friend’s son’s name [name]Gabriel[/name] (nn [name]Gabe[/name]), but my friend thinks it is a beautiful name, takes no offence and thinks that [name]Gabby[/name] & [name]Gabe[/name] are definitely different enough. PHEW!
Thanks to all the Berries who responded to my threads, you really did help me finalise my thoughts. So far I am super-happy with our choice and we have had a lot of compliments on the name.
