I do think of the apple immediately. However I think it would work for a person. [name_u]Gal[/name_u] would be a funny nickname.

It is associated with both the party and the apple, but I like it as a name!

[name_f]Gala[/name_f] is gorgeous! Such a fun cute feeling comes from the apple and party associations, but in a background kind of way because I have been aware of it as a name for a long time.

I don’t hear it much either. I think the strongest connection there would be with [name_m]Alf[/name_m] [name_m]Stewart[/name_m] from Home and Away these days. It’s not really used so much unless you have a full on proper Aussie family/friends type thing that are a little bogan? not sure how to explain that one better. It’s still beautiful, it just happens to make me smile a little too cause it’s kinda cute even with that association.
