Gemma or Everly? And a middle name for Everly?

Thanks to Nameberry’s help, I found a girl name that I adore! [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f]. However, my boyfriend is on the fence about it. His very favorite is still [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but I’m not totally sold on that one either. I think if we had a cool middle name to go with it, I could fall in love with it.

So which name do you like better and why? and do you have cute middle ideas for [name_u]Everly[/name_u]?

Definitely prefer [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] (and I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f]!). [name_u]Everly[/name_u] seems trendy to me still, but for a middle name maybe [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Jem[/name_u]?

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f]! Och, how utterly perfect. I love it. I like [name_u]Everly[/name_u], but nowhere near as much as [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]. I think [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] ([name_f]Juliette[/name_f]?) is nice. I’ve always really liked [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], though…

I adore [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f]! [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is pretty, but maybe too trendy and somehow feels made-up. I second @ashthedreamer’s suggestion, [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] sounds beautiful.

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is really pretty, I definitely like it. But I wanted something quirky in the middle, like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. I wouldn’t use that though, because I wouldn’t want people to think it was [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_m]Jim[/name_m].

& I like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f], but once again the boyfriend vetoed it.

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] is really the only girl name he has ever truly liked, so even though [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is my favorite and I’ll probably try to convince him of it, I want to give [name_u]Everly[/name_u] a fair chance considering he really does like it.

Well is one of the unisex/trendy names that I don’t hate. However, it doesn’t compare to [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]! You might just keep looking.

I’m not usually a person who gets excited over the name [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] but I must admit that [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is quite stunning. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is trendy and cutesy.

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] (to go with [name_f]Lark[/name_f]! :))
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Dove[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Fable[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Juno[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Skye[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Paige[/name_f]

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Dove[/name_u], and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Fable[/name_u] are my favorites. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Belle[/name_f] is probably my most favorite, because it’s feminine, uncommon and yet still familiar.

So to anyone that dislikes [name_u]Everly[/name_u], do you have any other suggestions that are similar/have a similar feel to them?

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is a million times better than a surname name. Perhaps [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] instead of [name_u]Everly[/name_u]?

I prefer [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f], although I do like [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Wren[/name_u], which was my first though. Other -ee ending names:

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f], [name_f]Coralie[/name_f], [name_f]Elodie[/name_f], [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f], [name_f]Verity[/name_f]

If you like [name_u]Dove[/name_u], [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] sounds sweet. [name_u]Sage[/name_u] is another mn idea.

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is wonderful! I will second [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]. (Actually this would make an adorable (if not a little sweet-sickly) sibset). I actually really like the name [name_u]Everly[/name_u]. It’s very girly to me, but I think that’s because it sounds like [name_f]Beverly[/name_f] – only much better for some reason. It is trendy right now, though when you think about it, that doesn’t mean a whole lot. It would still make me lean towards a non-trendy middle, such as [name_f]Belle[/name_f] – though it does sound nice.

[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Bliss[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Bethia[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Nadine[/name_f]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]
[name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] – really loving this one.

If your not completely against two middles you could throw [name_u]Everly[/name_u] in the mix somehow. But I have a filling your aren’t keen on two middles

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] and [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] are my favorites, but [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] would be the one my boyfriend and I could agree on, he had no idea to pronounce [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] when I first suggested it to him so that was out from the beginning.

@aym [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Bliss[/name_u] is so sweet! I loooove the sound of that. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] and [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_u]Rae[/name_u] are super sweet too!

And thank you to everyone that has complimented [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f]! [name_u]Berry[/name_u] approval makes me want to use it even more now.

@paigemontana I’m open to two middles! Before we decided our boy name was [name_m]Callen[/name_m] [name_m]Archer[/name_m], my favorite girl name was [name_f]Fallyn[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is a little L heavy on the end, but now that I think about it I am liking [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] a lot…

Any thoughts on [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u]?

Anyone have anything else to add before I suggest these to the boyfriend?

J’adore [name_f]GEMMA[/name_f]!- wish my hubby did too- <3

[name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is beautiful! Sweet, girly without being froufrou, a nice blend of vintage and modern. I fell in love with [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] when I read the [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_m]Doyle[/name_m] trilogy, and [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is so chipper and upbeat. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is nice, [name_u]Everly[/name_u] feels masculine to me because of the [name_u]Everly[/name_u] brothers, but it flows well. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is a bit L-heavy but forgivable I think, especially if you really love it.

Thank you guys so much for your imput! I’m definitely going to try to convince the boyfriend of [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] and [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u] the same, so I guess we’ll see what he says!

[name_f]My[/name_f] daughters name is Everlee. We changed the spelling. I likes it with two E’s instead. Anyway you like unique names like me. Her middle name is [name_m]Rowe[/name_m]. maybe that wil help.

I really like [name_f]Gemma[/name_f], it is super sweet and [name_f]Lark[/name_f] is an awesome middle. [name_u]Everly[/name_u] is cute, but kind of trendy. I prefer [name_f]Gemma[/name_f]. Why can’t you have both? [name_u]Everly[/name_u] [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] or [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] [name_u]Everly[/name_u]? That way you both get a name you love. Besides [name_u]Everly[/name_u], maybe he’ll like:
[name_f]Esme[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosa[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]
[name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_u]Piper[/name_u]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_u]Penny[/name_u]/[name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
[name_f]Margo[/name_f]/[name_f]Margot[/name_f]/[name_f]Margaux[/name_f]
