I like [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] and [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] from your list!
I’m a big fan of [name_f]Opal[/name_f], Aquamarine (in the middle spot!), [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] and [name_m]Carnelian[/name_m]
I like [name_f]Jade[/name_f] as one I would use. I also really love [name_f]Opaline[/name_f]. I think Onyz is cool for a boy. [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] might also make a cool middle name for a boy although it sounds like [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] to me.
I like [name_f]Emerald[/name_f] a lot but probably wouldn’t be brave enough to use it. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is nice but overused to me. Same with [name_f]Pearl[/name_f] - which also has some negative associations for me.
I find [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] or Sapphrina a mouthful so discourages me although it reminds me of [name_f]Serafina[/name_f] which I love. And its pretty in theory.
Other ones seem very 80s or out there/too hard to say or remind me of exotic dancers.
I have really fallen for [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] lately. I like [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_f]Opal[/name_f], and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], too, as well as [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] for a boy.
I love [name_u]Garnet[/name_u] on a girl and [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] as boy fn and girl mn and I like [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_u]Diamond[/name_u] and [name_f]Jade[/name_f] as a mn.
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]! And [name_f]Jade[/name_f] and [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. A little more of a stretch but I like [name_u]James[/name_u] “[name_u]Jem[/name_u]” and [name_u]Julian[/name_u] “[name_u]Jules[/name_u].”
I like the following in your list: [name_f]Jade[/name_f], [name_f]Amber[/name_f], [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] and [name_f]Emerald[/name_f].
Here are other options I like:
[name_f]Esme[/name_f] or [name_f]Esmeralda[/name_f] for the emerald gem
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] or [name_f]Opaline[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
Jade, [name_f]Esme[/name_f] and [name_f]Opaline[/name_f] are my favorites.
I love vintage naturey names, but I just can’t get behind most gemstone names. They’re too… shiny? [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is probably my favorite, because I love the sound, but I actually don’t like the association with rubies.
I’m partial to:
[name_f]Amethyst[/name_f], [name_f]Gem[/name_f] (just [name_f]Gem[/name_f]) and [name_f]Jewel[/name_f]
also, [name_u]Garnet[/name_u], [name_f]Topaz[/name_f] and [name_f]Opal[/name_f] work very well in my language, but I don’t feel them quite
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Jade[/name_f] are cute, but I don’t think I like them enough
also [name_f]Lapis[/name_f] [name_u]Lazuli[/name_u] is gemstone/sound I’m partial to, but can’t decide should I just take [name_u]Lazuli[/name_u] or [name_f]Lapis[/name_f] or incorporate both in name
I was just talking with my husband about this, sort of. We were talking about the significance of a names meaning regarding picking our next child’s name. Meaning didn’t matter as much to him as it does to me. [name_f]My[/name_f] name being [name_f]Jade[/name_f], always bothered me that [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is a semiprecious stone and not a precious one. Petty and silly I know, but it is something that I’ve never liked about my name. Otherwise, I do like gem names.
