Gender neutral vintage names?

I’d like to add more gender neutral names to my list, but I haven’t found many that I love because my typical style leans more vintage. So the more modern nonbinary ‘word names’ don’t really fit.

For example, some of my top ‘gendered’ names at the moment are [name_m]Victor[/name_m], [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_f]Lenore[/name_f], and [name_f]Theda[/name_f]. I also love names with a gothic element.

[name_f]My[/name_f] top nonbinary names are [name_m]Jules[/name_m] and [name_m]Dorian[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Robin[/name_m] as well even though it’s a word name, it just feels like it fits more into the vintage style and doesn’t feel too modern.

I’d love any more suggestions along these lines. Thanks for the help!

I think it’s especially hard to find neutral vintage names because a lot of them are either nickname-names (which are great, but seem to be less your style because they’re often more cutesy than gothic?) or they either became neutral later or became less neutral later, which makes their vibes feel different or more modern/trendy. But hopefully you like some of these ideas!

I love this category, as so many gender neutral names feel very modern. I’m in a bit of a rush, so I’m just going to link an old topic that I commented in that might give some similar ideas to what you’re after!

I’m loving so many of these! [name_m]Lee[/name_m], Carrey/Cary, [name_m]Sidney[/name_m], [name_m]Laurie[/name_m], [name_m]Francis[/name_m], [name_f]Billie[/name_f], [name_m]Kit[/name_m], [name_m]Bellamy[/name_m], [name_f]Darcy[/name_f], Jean/Gene, Sheridan… and thank you for the link, so many great options there too.

Thank you guys!!!

Maybe some names that used to be used for boys but are now more popularized for girls like [name_f]Carol[/name_f], [name_f]Leslie[/name_f], [name_f]Mallory[/name_f]? [name_m]Laurie[/name_m] also works it was a nn for [name_m]Laurence[/name_m] from little women but is gender neutral imo.

Late reply, but… These names are all listed as “unisex” on BehindtheName and were rated by the community as “classic” names:
