Two of my favorite names for girls are [name_f]Lena[/name_f] and [name_u]Rylan[/name_u].
How would you pronounce [name_f]Lena[/name_f]? I like it pronounced [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-na, but I know some people pronounce it [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-na.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] fits a girl or boy better? I like it for a girl, but a lot of people use it for a boy.
I instinctively pronounced [name_f]Lena[/name_f] lee-na (I’m in the Midwest USA for reference)
I like [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] for both!
Lena: I say len-uh or lay-nuh
[name_u]Rylan[/name_u]: I’ve known male and female [name_u]Rylan[/name_u]’s. It feels more masculine to me, but I think it works on either.
I would assume [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-nah or [name_m]Len[/name_m]-nah.
I like [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] for both, but I’ve only met girl Rylans.
I automatically say [name_f]Lena[/name_f] like lee-nuh. I think it’s super cute! I’ve only know male [name_u]Rylan[/name_u]’s so It feels more masculine to me but can see it on a girl too.
I’ve heard both pronunciations of [name_f]Lena[/name_f], but I personally also pronounce it lee-nuh. I love it too! I think it’s so simple, but also so gorgeous.
[name_u]Rylan[/name_u] definitely seems to be a true unisex name. If I heard it, I would probably initially think it was a boy, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all to hear it on a girl.
- [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-na
- [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] for a boy!
I would pronounce [name_f]Lena[/name_f] “leh-na.”
Rylan feels more masculine to me, but I could see it on anyone!
Lena: leh-nah
[name_u]Rylan[/name_u] for a boy
I prefer it pronounced [name_f]Layna[/name_f] but [name_f]Leena[/name_f] is sweet too
I do prefer [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] for a boy but it’s okay on a girl too
Lena: I pronounce it [name_u]Lee[/name_u]- na intuitively but I also like [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-na, I think it could definitely be mispronounced but it is easy to remember so it would only have to be corrected once hopefully.
Rylan: I think of this as a masculine name but I can see it on a girl! Although I prefer [name_u]Riley[/name_u]/Reilly/Rylee.
I say [name_f]Lena[/name_f] as [name_m]Lay[/name_m]-nuh ([name_u]Lee[/name_u]-nuh would be [name_f]Leena[/name_f]) and prefer [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] for a boy.
I say [name_f]Lena[/name_f] lee-na! I also prefer [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] for a girl but it works for both!
Lee-na (Midwest US) and the only [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] I’ve known has been a boy so that’s my instinct and preference but I could see it working for both!
I say it as [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-na. That was the first name I ever loved! Another way to spell it is [name_f]Lina[/name_f].
I prefer [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] on a boy because I’ve only ever heard of it as a boy name and it sounds quite masculine to me.
I pronounce [name_f]Lena[/name_f] as Lehn-uh. I don’t know if this is right though.
I only like [name_u]Rylan[/name_u] on a boy but I’m sure you can use it for a girl
