I really like [name_u]Monroe[/name_u] and Théoden. [name_u]Linden[/name_u] is lovely but I sort of like it for a girl. I am not that fond of [name_m]Elton[/name_m], [name_u]Roscoe[/name_u], or [name_m]Ted[/name_m] because of the pop culture references, I’m afraid. [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] is nice, but I know a couple of girls who go by [name_m]Raffy[/name_m] so maybe [name_u]Rafe[/name_u] instead.
[name_m]Dalton[/name_m] - the name of a bad provincial premier where I live
[name_u]Linden[/name_u] - I like the nature connection
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u] - [name_f]Marilyn[/name_f]'s surname can hide in the middle
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u] - beware of the Dukes of [name_m]Hazzard[/name_m]
Theoden - [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings name best left to Tolkien
I would eliminate…
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] - the sound is horrid
[name_m]Milton[/name_m] - playing gin rummy in a [name_f]Florida[/name_f] retirement home with his friend [name_m]Seymour[/name_m].
[name_m]Elton[/name_m]- a one-man show
[name_m]Ted[/name_m] - [name_m]Ted[/name_m] is tired. [name_m]Ned[/name_m] is cool.
I like
[name_u]Monroe[/name_u]
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m]
Theoden
[name_u]Linden[/name_u]
[name_m]Elton[/name_m] - i met a young [name_m]Elton[/name_m] a couple months ago, and somehow [name_m]Elton[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] did not even occur to me. I just thought it was a cool name that fit him well, and I remember not being sure if I’d heard it before. Duh! Anyway, I don’t like the idea of one-person names or celebrities owning names. I think this is my fave on your list.
[name_u]Roscoe[/name_u]
and dislike
[name_m]Milton[/name_m]
[name_m]Dalton[/name_m]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u]
[name_m]Ted[/name_m]
