To your ear does [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name] flow or not… What about [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]…though having very different meanings obviously their sounds are similar. Are they too similar to be together in the same name? Thanks for your thoughts.
[name]Shelby[/name]
I love both names, but I think there are too many ‘v’ sounds in both for them to be used together.
I don’t think you should pair these two names together in a combo. Too similar sounding, with the vie’s and all.
But between the two, [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] sounds a little better because the ienne ending breakings up the viv’s, if you know what I mean. Whereas [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name] has got the viv’s right after each other. Genevievivienne.
I agree! I love both names, but [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] has too many v sounds going on. [name]Even[/name] though I prefer [name]Genevieve[/name] to [name]Vivienne[/name], I also agree that [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] would sound better!
I wouldn’t use them together for one child but I think they could be sisters.
I used to have [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] as a combo and I think it sounds great, I don’t think that being V heavy is necessarily a bad thing, in fact that’s part of what I like about it. I think it flows better than [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name] fwiw, I say use it, it’s pretty!
[name]Way[/name] too matchy for my liking.
Yeah, I like both names desperately, but not together. I don’t like the repeating “vee” sound. [name]Gene/nameieve [name]Vi/nameanne, you know?
I think it’s too much of a wonderful thing. [name]Genevieve[/name], wonderful name. [name]Vivienne[/name], wonderful name. [name]Both[/name] together, too much. I agree with pp— make awesome sisters.
I really like [name]Genevieve[/name] [name]Vivienne[/name], in theory, but the “vi”/“vee” sounds are a bit overkill, imo! It’s just too many "V"s too close together! I think [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name] works better because the "V"s are spread out, but I like [name]Genevieve[/name] up front so much more.
Good luck!
My husband is fond of the name [name]Genevieve[/name], but once we decided on the name [name]Vivian[/name] for one of our daughters, that through [name]Genevieve[/name] off of the name possibilities list for any future wee ones… [name]Viv[/name] and Vieve and oh just too much.
I just don’t think that “V” is one of those letters you can have running through the first and middle names without it sounding a bit soap-opera-ish. I think that "L"s and “N” are softer, subtler sounding letters that when repeated sound pretty sweet.
I think there’s too many “V’s” in the combo.
