Genovia?

I recently heard the name [name_f]Genovia[/name_f] (rewatched princess diaries haha) What are your honest thoughts on the name? I love it!!

I don’t think of it as a name, only as the [name_m]Kingdom[/name_m] in [name_f]Princess[/name_f] Diaries.

Lol same! I knew Id heard it somewhere!

I prefer [name_f]Genoveva[/name_f]. I think it’s too tied to the movie for use.

I’ve never seen the movie so I don’t think of [name_f]Princess[/name_f] Diaries at all! [name_f]My[/name_f] first association with the name is [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] (the city).

I quite like it! It has an appealing sound, although something feels off about the way it is written down – can’t put my finger on it! I really love the nickname potential. [name_f]Gen[/name_f], [name_u]Nova[/name_u], Novia, [name_f]Via[/name_f], [name_f]Genny[/name_f], [name_f]Novi[/name_f], etc.

Genooooovia! Genooooovia! (I’m singing their national anthem, obvs. I rewatched it a few weeks ago too! Then I watched the 2nd which pales in comparison). Anyway I remember thinking it would make a beautiful name. I figure other real countries become names, and fictional characters become names, so why not a fictional country?

That anthem was the first thing that popped into my mind too! I think it’s one of those words that sounds like it could be a beautiful name but the [name_f]Princess[/name_f] Diaries association is strong (up to you whether that would impede you from using it).

It’s too [name_f]Princess[/name_f] Diaries for me, although otherwise I think it’d really like it. I think Genova and [name_f]Geneva[/name_f] (actually a top favorite of mine at the moment so maybe I’m biased) are solid alternatives though!
