I prefer [name_u]Jude[/name_u], then [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]. I don’t like [name_u]Gentry[/name_u] at all and it doesn’t feel right with your sibset.
I know a little girl named [name_u]Gentry[/name_u] I think it’s a great name for a boy as well go for it

[name_u]Gentry[/name_u] always strikes me as a trying way too hard name. Like naming your kid “Nobility” or something. Are you a large hereditary landholder in [name_m]Britain[/name_m]? Then you’re not gentry. Your other names are fantastic, though!
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] is my favourite, followed by [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]. I really don’t like [name_u]Gentry[/name_u]. It’s like naming him [name_m]Lord[/name_m].
I don’t think [name_u]Gentry[/name_u] is bad but I prefer [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_u]Tristan[/name_u]. [name_u]Gentry[/name_u] makes me think of the country band [name_m]Montgomery[/name_m] [name_u]Gentry[/name_u] so I picture a kid in a cowboy hat.

[name_u]Gentry[/name_u] makes me think of “Landed [name_u]Gentry[/name_u]” as in old land owning British social class so I struggle to see it as a baby name, no offense.

I think [name_u]Gentry[/name_u] is a fine name. I find it interesting that so many people are making the lord/nobility connection, because when I think of the name [name_u]Gentry[/name_u] I just get the “cowboy” feel and image, like a pp mentioned. To me it doesn’t seem far out as a name, but if you don’t love it then keep looking. There surely will be another name out there you and your SO can agree on!
I do love [name_u]Tristan[/name_u] alot also.
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u] is my favorite boys name ever and I think it fits well with the girls name… but definitely not [name_u]Gentry[/name_u]
