Georgian/Victorian Name Combos+Faves!

I think I’ve (finally!) determined my naming style. I seem to love anything Georgian and Victorian, so basically, names from the 1800’s, especially those found in [name_f]England[/name_f]. My favourites are;

[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Francisca[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_u]Hero[/name_u]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]
[name_f]Keziah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Patience[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_f]Patience[/name_f]
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]/[name_f]Honor[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f]
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]

As you can see, I love Shakespearean middles. What do you think of these combos, and what suggestions to you have/changes would you make?

Loving your style!!

These one’s are my favorites

[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]

Some other possible combos using the names you already have up there

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]

Oh this is a fun list.

[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f]- [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] but [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] I prefer with a ‘mund’! I find them a bit much both together; one isn’t giving a lot to the other, I feel like. [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Ethel[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f]?

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Francisca[/name_f]- Again, not a fan of the two elaborate names together. I love [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f]. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Phyllis[/name_f]. Still the mannered style, but a little less syllable!
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]- I actually love these together. The repeated I and e vowels really tie the names together without being too repetitive phonetically. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]!
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]- Same deal with these names. They sound right together: the European spelling of [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] gives a little cultural kick to [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but also as a slightly less unusual choice gives her a little familiarity.
[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]- Pretty.
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]- Not a fan of this [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] as she’s just TOO popular for me. I like [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] with a more vibrant first name, but overall prefer [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f].
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_u]Hero[/name_u]- [name_f]One[/name_f] of my favourite combinations here. Unexpected and striking. Also like both names individually.
[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]- Like both separately, but I don’t feel they tie together that well.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]- Not a [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] fan personally, but I know i’m in the minority.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]- So pretty
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f]- I like this combo better swapped about. Not a fan of ending on the ‘a’ ending, I think.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]- Too long names put together= a little heavy for me
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- I actually like this, despite my [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] prejudices.
[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f]-Pretty. Very sing-song/soft. I think I might prefer [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] (despite loving [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] more in gen)
[name_f]Keziah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]- [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilie[/name_f] is better, in my opinion.
[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- Meh, not wowing me.
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]- Sweet! Good first impressions here.
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- I have seen more exciting [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] combinations (although I know about 5 [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] Roses)
[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Patience[/name_f]- Very Puritan sounding!
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]- To make a suggestion from the same play…[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Viola[/name_f]? [name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]? Maybe I’m just uninspired because I know so many siblings named these two names.
[name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_f]Patience[/name_f]- Great. Feisty and kind of demure at the same time!
[name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]/[name_f]Honor[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]- [name_f]Honor[/name_f] [name_f]Imogene[/name_f] I like better for flow reasons. I just find them a little unsatisfying to say together. [name_f]Honor[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]?
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f]-Nice (biased on the first name). I think [name_f]Diana[/name_f] in the UK is still very [name_m]Royal[/name_m] family homage though.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]. Also like these as a twosome.
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f]- Nice flow. [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] I am less sold on.
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]- Pretty, polite, sweet. Less sparky than some of your others.
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]- [name_f]Lovely[/name_f]!!
[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]- Not a [name_f]Leah[/name_f] fan.
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]- Hm, despite my previous ‘long name’ comments, I think this one is fab.
[name_f]Millicent[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]- VERY heavy, but also kind of intriguing. Two names I have never seen on anyone [name_m]IRL[/name_m], and I’d be very excited to meet a [name_f]Millicent[/name_f]. [name_f]Milly[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], yeah!

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_u]Hero[/name_u]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Marianna[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
(and as a wildcard [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]!)

My thoughts on the names:
[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] - [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] is a lovely classic name, very gorgeous and demure. I also love the ‘[name_f]Rosamond[/name_f]’ nicknames such as [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] is a lovely choice pronounced [name_f]Helen[/name_f]-uh she works so well with [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] and adds a kick-ass attitude to the combination. [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] [name_f]Helena[/name_f] is a brilliant name.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Francisca[/name_f] - [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] is a great choice, a lovely place-name. [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] has a lovely sound and just feels very classy. I also love the [name_f]Addie[/name_f] nickname which is just so sweet. [name_f]Francisca[/name_f] is also lovely but I prefer [name_f]Francesca[/name_f].

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] which is very sweet, effortless and has a lovely lyrical sound. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is just very poetic in sound and I also love the [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] nickname for [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] as well as [name_f]Lia[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] she’s pretty, has gorgeous Shakespearean connotations and just feels so romantic. But I would prefer [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] has a better flow.

[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] - [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is lovely, she feels so fresh and fruity. [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] has a great sound and just feels so elegant. I also like the [name_u]Clemmy[/name_u] nickname, but [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] almost feels like she doesn’t need a nickname because she has a such an easy sound and flow despite being a lengthy choice. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is a refreshing name and I prefer her too [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] which in the UK is so popular at the moment. [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] is sweet in the middle name slot as well.

[name_f]Agatha[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] - [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] is okay, sometimes I like this name and sometimes I dislike it. I’m not a 100% sure on the [name_f]Agatha[/name_f]. I find the flow of [name_f]Agatha[/name_f] [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] strange too.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] - I do like [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], she’s lively and has a sweet sound. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] works with [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] the combination is very fresh and easy on the eye. But I would prefer [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. Or even better [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]???

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_u]Hero[/name_u] - [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is an elegant, demure choice. She’s sweet and sophisticated, I also like that [name_f]Arabella[/name_f] is an intriguing twist on [name_f]Isabella[/name_f]. I also like the [name_u]Ari[/name_u]/[name_f]Bella[/name_f] nicknames. [name_u]Hero[/name_u] feels very potent next to [name_f]Arabella[/name_f]. The combination has a great flow and feels very sweet. I also like that she has this almost literacy sound.

[name_f]Augusta[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] is a great name, she’s fiery and has a great sound. [name_f]Augusta[/name_f] feels exotic too which is appealing and [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] flows nicely with [name_f]Augusta[/name_f]. The whole combination is great and looks intriguing.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] - [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a lovely name, a nameberry classic, she’s elegant and wholesome. I also love the [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] nickname for [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] as well. [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] is a great choice!! [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is also lovely another Shakespearean name. But I’d actually prefer [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. The flow is great.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] - [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is a beautiful, wholesome name with a great jazzy sound. I adore the bluesy sound of [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. She’s refreshing and she works so well with [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] which is another gorgeous rose variant. I prefer [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] to [name_f]Rosamond[/name_f] on the rose variant front for further reference.

[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] - [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] is a lovely name. Strong, appealing, and effortless. I also love the range of nicknames for [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] such as [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], [name_f]Lea[/name_f], and potentially [name_u]Laney[/name_u]. I’m unsure of [name_f]Rowena[/name_f] in the middle name slot with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. Suggestion [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]?

[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] - Ugh I really dislike [name_m]George[/name_m] and all his variants including [name_f]Georgia[/name_f], [name_f]Georgina[/name_f] and this one. There just so harsh and unappealing. [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] is great though. Hmm another suggestion [name_f]Grace[/name_f] [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]?

[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Helena[/name_f] pronounced ‘helen-uh’ the official pronunciation of this Greek classic. [name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] has an amazing flow and just looks so wholesome.

[name_f]Jemima[/name_f] [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] - [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] is a great name, in my country she works, but in the USA I would be hesitate using her. [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] still has racial slurs attached to this name, which is just awful. In fact even though it wasn’t my country who had used the [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] advert it’s put me off slightly. So despite [name_f]Jemima[/name_f] being a great name I would take that into consideration. [name_f]Rosaline[/name_f] is lovely though.

[name_f]Keziah[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] - [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] is okay, despite coming from a family with a strong Jewish connection, and her having a strong meaning and being popular in the Jewish faith, [name_f]Keziah[/name_f] isn’t my thing. Also she doesn’t flow with [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] that well. Suggestion [name_f]Cassia[/name_f] [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f]?

[name_f]Louisa[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] is a great name, she feels fresh and appealing. I also love the fruity vibe of [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] it’s just sweet. She works with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. But the flow is slightly off. Would prefer [name_f]Louise[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. [name_f]Louise[/name_f] is also refreshing especially in the middle name slot.

[name_f]Martha[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - [name_f]Martha[/name_f] is a great retro classic. She’s wholesome and demure. I also like how [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] sounds with [name_f]Martha[/name_f]. The name has a brilliant sound and just feels so put together.

[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]. But not together. The flow is strange.

[name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Patience[/name_f] - [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] is a lovely name, she’s grown on me so much!! [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] feels so fresh, fruity, and elegant. [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] looks so lovely and I also love the range of nicknames for [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] such as [name_f]Suki[/name_f], [name_f]Susie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Annie[/name_f]. I love it! [name_f]Patience[/name_f] is not my thing if you like virtue names - unusual virtue names - I would use [name_f]Verity[/name_f]. [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] is awesome. I also like the idea of [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] [name_f]Holiday[/name_f]!!

[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Florence[/name_f] it’s elegant, airy, and has gorgeous connotations such as the Italian city, flowers, and [name_f]Florence[/name_f] Nightingale. [name_f]Florence[/name_f] is just great. But I’m not that keen on the nicknames for [name_f]Florence[/name_f]. [name_f]Flo[/name_f], [name_f]Flossie[/name_f] are just big no’s. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] is a lovely and looks great as a middle name [name_f]Florence[/name_f].

[name_f]Georgina[/name_f] [name_f]Patience[/name_f] - Ugh dislike [name_m]George[/name_m] names. [name_f]Patience[/name_f] isn’t my thing. Not a favourite combination.

[name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]/[name_f]Honor[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] - I prefer [name_f]Honora[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] the flow of the combination is great whereas [name_f]Honor[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is just off key.

[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Diana[/name_f] - To be perfectly honest I’m not a major fan of [name_f]Diana[/name_f]. The name is pretty but not a favourite. [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] is cute though. But would prefer [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] to teamed with a southern belle name like [name_f]Caroline[/name_f].

[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] - I love this combination. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is really pretty, fresh and appealing. She’s elegant and lively. [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] sounds so exotic teamed with [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. The combination is great. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choice.

[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] - [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]; a lovely retro choice. She’s fresh and cute. I prefer [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] to [name_f]Iris[/name_f] actually!! [name_f]Nerissa[/name_f] is just odd though. At the moment I really like the combination [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].

[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] is a lovely name, she has a very rich sound and lovely colour connotations. I prefer [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] though. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] is a lovely name, elegant, great Shakespearean connotations and looks effortless.

[name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] - [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f] is a nice name but she isn’t my favourite name on the list though. Despite being gorgeous there are just so many lovely names on this list which overshadow [name_f]Tabitha[/name_f]. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is a nice classic though. Feels like an all-American-girl name it’s cute.

[name_f]Leah[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] - Not a major fan of [name_f]Leah[/name_f] but [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] is sweet. Suggestion [name_f]Luna[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]?

[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] is a lovely Shakespearean name, she’s growing on me so much. I love the [name_f]Cordy[/name_f] nickname, how elegant she is, I love [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] connotations despite her character in [name_m]King[/name_m] Lear not being the best character. [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has a majestic flow and just is so effortless.

Millicient [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - Millicient isn’t my thing, but [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is cute.

[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Francisca[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_u]Hero[/name_u]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_f]Rowena[/name_f]
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]
[name_f]Honor[/name_f] [name_f]Imogen[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

These combos are very pretty! Some of the combos are multiple syllables but who cares? I love vintage names. My faves are bolded.

I love your list! Here are my favorites:
