[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I welcomed a baby boy in [name_u]December[/name_u]. Had our baby been a girl, these were some of the names on our short list.
Any thoughts on middle names for [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] and [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f]? Is the [name_f]Hildy[/name_f] nickname a stretch? Any other [name_m]German[/name_m] sounding girl names that you like?
I think [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] would be beautiful, [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is quite a common middle name but I just think it sounds so pretty with a lot of names!
Also kind of obsessed with the name [name_f]Liesel[/name_f]. I get mixed responses with that one but I think it’s lovely.
Love [name_f]Mathilde[/name_f] nn [name_f]Hildy[/name_f]! So cute!
German sounding girl names I like:
[name_f]Ilsa[/name_f] or [name_f]Ilse[/name_f]

[name_f]Verena[/name_f] nn [name_f]Vreni[/name_f]

Leisel
[name_f]Brigitta[/name_f]
[name_f]Meike[/name_f]

You might like
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] nn [name_f]Liesl[/name_f] or [name_f]Annie[/name_f]

[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosemarie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elsbeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Margret[/name_f] / Margrit (rather than [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] as to have the same pronunciation in [name_m]German[/name_m] and [name_f]English[/name_f] and because Margaret, without an -e or -a at the end doesn’t really exist in [name_m]German[/name_m])
[name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Irma[/name_f]
[name_f]Brigitte[/name_f]
[name_f]Eleonore[/name_f]

Willamina is on my short list if we have a 2nd! Hubby wasn’t on board with the spelling [name_f]Wilhelmina[/name_f] (after my [name_m]German[/name_m] great-gma).
