Getting to Ash

Help me out berries! I looove [name_u]Ash[/name_u] for a boy, but I’m not loving any names I’ve found that have [name_u]Ash[/name_u] as an obvious nickname, like [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] or [name_m]Asher[/name_m]. Please give me your suggestions, the more creative the better, to get to [name_u]Ash[/name_u] for a boy!

Thanks!

I love [name_u]Ashby[/name_u]! That’s my favorite [name_u]Ash[/name_u]- name.

Other than [name_u]Ashton[/name_u] and [name_m]Asher[/name_m], the only boy name that comes to mind is [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] (I know it’s more common for girls now though, but I’d love to see a little boy named [name_u]Ashley[/name_u]!)

Otherwise, you could stretch a bit further with names that have the ‘[name_u]Ash[/name_u]’ sound in them, like:
[name_m]Cassian[/name_m]
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Bastian[/name_m]
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]
[name_m]Nash[/name_m]

Or go simply ‘[name_u]Ash[/name_u]’

As mentioned above, I vote [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]! In my accent the name is said “seh-BASH-chin” so the “ash” sound is right in the name. I think [name_u]Ash[/name_u] is it’s best nickname :).

I really like Joash for nn [name_u]Ash[/name_u]. Also love the pp suggestion of [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m].

I like the suggestion of [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]
But I really like [name_u]Ashley[/name_u] for a boy

I love [name_m]Asher[/name_m], but [name_u]Ashby[/name_u] is cute.

I love pp’s suggestion of Sebastion, though I prefer Bash a bit more than [name_u]Ash[/name_u] for that name, and [name_m]Dashiell[/name_m]. I don’t think [name_m]Cassius[/name_m] has been mentioned which also has the ‘ash’ sound in the middle.

I lovelovelove the suggestions of Joash, [name_u]Ashby[/name_u], and [name_u]Ashley[/name_u], as others have listed! Also [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], which I just noticed. I can’t really think of any other ideas that haven’t been mentioned? I wrote a story with an Ashland nn [name_u]Ash[/name_u] in it–she was a girl, but I suppose it could’ve easily worked for a boy, too. Or Ashfield, maybe.
