I have been thinking about the nickname [name_u]Bo[/name_u] for a girl, but I don’t know what names could lead to that nickname? I thought about [name_f]Boheme[/name_f], which I adore, but I don’t think it would work because of pronunciation issues. Has anyone got any ideas? Could [name_u]Bo[/name_u] ever stand alone for a girl?
[name_m]Beau[/name_m] is quite trendy for both girls/boys in the UK (it ranks roughly #450 for both gender, as I remember) just as a stand alone name. I can’t say I love that spelling for girls, but [name_u]Bo[/name_u] is certainly lovely; I have a massive love of any cutesy B name!
Maybe;
[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ebony[/name_f]
[name_f]Abigail[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] (at a push?)
[name_f]Bluebell[/name_f]
and maybe uncommon -bel names, just because the B sound tends to be strong; maybe [name_f]Mirabelle[/name_f]? [name_f]Christabel[/name_f]? [name_f]Amabel[/name_f]?
Sorry, they’re all massively stretched! [name_f]My[/name_f] vote goes to ‘just [name_u]Bo[/name_u]’.
No, I don’t think [name_u]Bo[/name_u] could work as a standalone on a girl. Personally, I imagine it more on a boy, due to its proximity and probable relation to the name/nickname [name_m]Beau[/name_m], strictly male. That being said:
[name_f]Bonita[/name_f]
[name_f]Ebony[/name_f]
[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]
[name_f]Bronte[/name_f]
I think [name_u]Bo[/name_u] is lovely on either gender and it stands extremely well on its own. Any ‘bo’ name or ‘beau’ name should work, as should most names beginning with ‘b’ and containing ‘o’:
[name_f]Isabeau[/name_f]
Arabeau
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]
[name_u]Bonanza[/name_u]
[name_f]Bohemia[/name_f] (might be easier to pronounce than [name_f]Boheme[/name_f]?)
[name_f]Bonita[/name_f]
[name_f]Bronte[/name_f]
[name_f]Bryony[/name_f]
[name_f]Garbo[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]
[name_f]Iyabo[/name_f]
[name_f]Picabo[/name_f]
[name_f]Tiboni[/name_f]
[name_f]Mirabeau[/name_f]
[name_f]Beaulah[/name_f]
[name_u]Ballou[/name_u] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]
[name_f]Bayo[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u]
[name_f]Bardot[/name_f]
[name_f]Bijou[/name_f]
[name_f]Bidou[/name_f]
[name_f]Bozsi[/name_f]
[name_u]Brio[/name_u]
[name_f]Bronja[/name_f]
I like [name_u]Bo[/name_u] on it’s own for a girl, but I just adore the name Bodil nn [name_u]Bo[/name_u] even more for a girl.
Bodil is a scandinavian girls name pronounced bo-deal Meaning, origin and history of the name Bodil - Behind the Name
[name_m]How[/name_m] about as a nn for -
[name_f]Roberta[/name_f] (since [name_f]Bobbi[/name_f] is a common nickname i think it works)

My name is [name_f]Iyabo[/name_f]. My dearest friends call me [name_u]Bo[/name_u]!
I know of two girls with the name -one spelt Beaux and one spelt [name_m]Boe[/name_m] - one is 1 and the other is 9. (in the UK)
[name_m]Ive[/name_m] been crushing on [name_u]Bo[/name_u] for a girl as well. I think I’m leaning toward a double name…
[name_u]Bo[/name_u]-[name_u]Lynn[/name_u]
[name_u]Bo[/name_u]-[name_u]Dean[/name_u]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]-[name_u]Bo[/name_u]

I love the name [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] for a girl. [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] Minkoff named her daughter [name_m]Bowie[/name_m] [name_u]Lou[/name_u] which is just adorable.
[name_u]Bo[/name_u] works for a girl. It’s a unisex Chinese name.
I really like [name_u]Bo[/name_u] on a girl and I think it can stand alone. Try these ideas:
Bolene [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]
[name_f]Braelyn[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] nn initials [name_u]BO[/name_u]
Obolena [name_f]Isle[/name_f] “[name_u]Bo[/name_u]”
I’ve had the idea of [name_u]Bo[/name_u] as a girl nickname for several years now so I’m all for it. I thought it could be nickname for [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
[name_u]Bo[/name_u] [name_m]Derek[/name_m] - a gorgeous “[name_u]Bo[/name_u]!”
