Like others said, it could work but it wouldn’t be anyone’s go-to. Dennie and Edie make more sense. If you want to call her Dani at home you can, but it would be unlikely for others to use, like her school friends.

I think [name_u]Deni[/name_u] is much more intuitive. To get to [name_u]Dani[/name_u], [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] and [name_f]Daniela[/name_f] are both obvious choices, and both are gorgeous. I also think [name_f]Diana[/name_f] could work.
