I really like them both! As nicknames, of course. I agree that they’re not really good as full names.

I think [name]Issy[/name] could work for your beloved [name]Isaac[/name]. I’d look no further.

My favourite way to get to [name]Iggy[/name] is [name]Ignatius[/name] but that might be a bit much for most people  Another option could be [name]Viggo[/name], which I think goes nicely with [name]Isaac[/name]. Another option is giving [name]Isaac[/name] a middle name that starts with G, and getting [name]Iggy[/name] from there.

Why not use [name]Izzy[/name] as a nickname for [name]Issac[/name]?

I like [name]Isaac[/name], nn [name]Issy[/name], [name]Izzy[/name].

For [name]Iggy[/name]:
[name]Brannigan[/name]
[name]Briggs[/name]
[name]Finnigan[/name]
[name]Inigo[/name]
[name]Kerrigan[/name]
[name]Quigley[/name]
[name]Rigby[/name]
[name]Sigmund[/name]

[name]Ignatz[/name]! We almost used this for our boy due this summer, but it’s a close friend’s long time favorite and we decided not to “steal” it. But [name]Ignatz[/name] nn [name]Iggy[/name] is sooo awesome.

Thanks guys! I totally missed [name]Issy[/name] as a nickname for [name]Isaac[/name].
[name]Brannigan[/name] is really cool!

I like [name]Izzy[/name] for a boy. I know a boy whose middle name is [name]Isidore[/name] and he goes by [name]Izzy[/name] sometimes. Why not use [name]Izzy[/name] for [name]Isaac[/name]?

For [name]Izzy[/name]:

Domiziano – tamed
Ediz – high
Faizon – an understanding man
[name]Iza[/name] – come
[name]Izar[/name] – star
Mizell – resembling a tiny gnat
Ramiz – dignified
Taizo – third born son
[name]Tiziano[/name] – honored

[name]Travis[/name]
[name]Wallis[/name]

To get to iggy, what about using your current favorite, [name]Issac[/name], and having his middle name begin with a G? For example, if we have a little girl, we’ll be naming her [name]Isla[/name] [name]Gray[/name] and probably calling her [name]Iggy[/name] or [name]Izzy[/name] (i think iggy is more endearing). Although, I think you could easily nickname [name]Issac[/name] [name]Izzy[/name]. In my opinion, [name]Izzy[/name] leans more feminine, but if that doesn’t bother you (or you don’t agree) then I think you’ve got your answer!

Good luck!

Thanks guys! I think giving up [name]Dante[/name] and putting a ‘G’ name in the middle would be the best way to go because he gets [name]Iggy[/name] and I get [name]Izzy[/name]. Now to sell [name]Martin[/name] on it…

I adore [name]Iggy[/name] (I know too many female Izzys) and would use:

[name]Inigo[/name]
[name]Ignatius[/name]

My friend just called her baby [name]Iggy[/name] (full name). Was a tad jealous - our last name ends in ‘ie’ and [name]Iggy[/name] sounds dreadful with it :frowning:

Thanks guys! I’m off to find a “G” name to go with [name]Isaac[/name] because [name]Martin[/name] said he it was a good idea to him.
