Girl C names

A couple of months until baby arrives. We have a 2 year old named [name_f]Celine[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is a family name. We want a similar vibe C name for baby girl. Names I like are [name_f]Carolina[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] and husband likes [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]. We prefer something less common but not unheard of. Interested to hear people’s thoughts on these names and other suggestions.

I love [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] with [name_f]Celine[/name_f]! [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is a bit too matchy.

Maybe [name_f]Callista[/name_f], [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], [name_f]Cora[/name_f], [name_m]Charlie[/name_m], [name_f]Cassia[/name_f], [name_f]Calla[/name_f], [name_f]Cassandra[/name_f], [name_f]Camilla[/name_f]

I agree [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is nice but very matchy! Thank you

[name_f]Celine[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] is so sweet and chic! [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] are my favorites of your list as a sister for [name_f]Celine[/name_f]. I find the matching sound of [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] a little too close, but I think [name_f]Corinna[/name_f] (especially pronounced cor-INN-uh) would be a lovely alternative!

[name_m]Other[/name_m] ideas that come to mind are [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] (very close to [name_f]Colette[/name_f], though), [name_f]Camille[/name_f], [name_f]Chiara[/name_f] / [name_f]Ciara[/name_f], [name_f]Carmen[/name_f], [name_f]Cambria[/name_f], [name_f]Calista[/name_f], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], or [name_f]Cora[/name_f].

Others: [name_f]Charmaine[/name_f], [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], [name_f]Coraline[/name_f], [name_f]Cerise[/name_f], Clove/Clover, [name_f]Calliope[/name_f],

Hopefully these help!

[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] → classic with flair - a pretty and sophisticated choice. I’d personally consider it for a middle, so not to have Celine and [name_f]Caro[/name_f]lina

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] → bright, clear, and lovely – classic but vibrant, international too.

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] → it has a sophisticated, worldly feel to it, and though I do find it a little heavy for my tastes, it would be cool to meet a young [name_f]Claudia[/name_f].

[name_f]Corinne[/name_f] → sleek, sharp and succinct! I really like [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]

A few other ideas:

[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Clarice[/name_f]
[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassia[/name_f]
[name_f]Caia[/name_f]
[name_f]Constance[/name_f]
[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]

[name_f]Celine[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] & [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_f]Claudia[/name_f] sound so elegant together!

Elegant is what we’re looking for! [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] suggestion. We’re in [name_f]Europe[/name_f] so a lot of suggestions above are too American and wouldn’t work in our country.

I really like [name_f]Clara[/name] for you! Maybe…

[name_f]Camille[/name]
[name_f]Candela[/name]
[name_f]Cecile[/name]
[name_f]Celia[/name]
[name_f]Claire[/name]
[name_f]Clemence[/name]
[name_f]Cleo[/name]
[name_f]Constance[/name]
[name_f]Cora[/name]
[name_f]Cosima[/name]

(I’m not in Europe so sorry if any of these are dated/out of fashion at the moment!)

[name_f]Celine[/name_f] is stunning !

I am super bias because [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] is my daughter’s name so I can’t even pretend to be partial. But I love how [name_f]Carolina[/name_f] and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] feel similar have a lot of the same letters but sound distinctly different

[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] is another name that I am literally enthralled by ! It reminds me of baby sitters club. I love that it is international but also isn’t popular. I have only ever met one in all my life !

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is timeless but I think the most popular of the options . I adore [name_f]Clara[/name_f] / it reminds me of the nutcracker , the Olympian [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_m]Hughes[/name_m] , and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_m]Barton[/name_m] who started the [name_f]Red[/name_f] [name_m]Cross[/name_m] . All super amazing women !

If I were to offer a C name it would be [name_f]Coral[/name_f] -

Thank you that’s so helpful. I think we have similar styles! Do you use any nicknames for [name_f]Carolina[/name_f]?

Without knowing your preferences but going for CC, I would go (not in order) :

[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f]
[name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
[name_f]Camilla[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Claudia[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Constance[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]

With yours, [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is very stylish & sophisticated but possibly a little too serious for me especially with [name_f]Celine[/name_f] also being very tailored and looking similar. I also think it’s close to [name_f]Karen[/name_f] in sound and I’d avoid that for a little longer. But they do make for a swish [name_f]French[/name_f] pair.

I love the name [name_f]Claudia[/name_f], and while it’s not an immediate match with [name_f]Celine[/name_f], they look sparkly together. [name_f]Claudie[/name_f] (either the aw or ow sound) so cute as a nickname! [name_f]She[/name_f] has a heavier feel but I think it’s good-dramatic and it’s still spirited as well.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is possibly the easiest match. I see [name_f]Clara[/name_f] as more vintage sweet, and [name_f]Celine[/name_f] as more sleek & glam - but they somehow complement each other and make this a pan-euro set.

[name_f]Carolina[/name_f] is not a popular name where I am and seems very [name_f]Southern[/name_f] [name_m]Euro[/name_m] and more so even Latin American. It projects confidence, very feminine without being frilly. I think it’s too rhyming with [name_f]Celine[/name_f] - I’d want to say [name_f]Celina[/name_f] and [name_f]Carolina[/name_f].

Thank you that’s so helpful!

Yes claudie is the nickname I like. I agree with your observations on [name_f]Corinne[/name_f]. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] I have always loved but worry is it’s becoming popular in the cities in my country, never heard of one in my area though. Overall I prefer a serious name not a nickname sounding name.

I don’t personally like [name_f]Camille[/name_f] because if we pronounce it properly the [name_f]French[/name_f] way it’s cami and that’s a male nickname for [name_m]Cameron[/name_m] in my country and super popular. If we pronounce it with the l’s then it’s too similar to the animal Camel. I had a friend who grew up in Pakistan say the name [name_f]Camelia[/name_f] made him laugh so much because it’s basically Camel to him. So I’ve always steered away from these names. [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] was also too popular in a previous time in my country and considered more of a lower class name (to be blunt) so again not my style.

Appreciate everyone’s thoughts and responses. Very insightful!
