Girl Name Dilemma

We are expecting our first baby, and have been talking about names for a while now. I was very set on my girl name being Juliahna, but out of no where I fell in love with the name [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]. One of the reasons I’ve always loved the name Juliahna is all of the nickname possibilities - [name_u]Julie[/name_u], [name_u]Jules[/name_u], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], [name_f]Ana[/name_f]. But when I considered the name [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] - it just has something about it that sounds so incredibly sweet, and fun. Not as crazy about the nicknames - [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Mags[/name_f], [name_f]Mia[/name_f], [name_f]Nola[/name_f] - and might instead just not do nicknames! I would love to hear some feedback on both names - last name is Woolard, and middle names haven’t been pinned down, but we have [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] [name_m]George[/name_m] on the list & [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] as options so far.

Thanks!!

It auto corrected me - [name_f]Ahna[/name_f] *

Out of the two, my favourite has to be [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]! [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is such a gorgeous name. As for a nn, you could also use [name_f]Lia[/name_f] or [name_f]Lila[/name_f].

Juliahna (I’m assuming how that’s how it’s spelt?) is cute too, and must say I like this spelling with the h more. It’s not really my style, so I don’t love it, but it’s cute. I’m not sure how I feel about Juliahna [name_m]George[/name_m] though. Maybe the ‘j’ sound at the start of both throws me off a bit. [name_f]Ana[/name_f] is a really sweet nn though

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],

Juliahna sounds a little to preppy to me and not as orginal and creative as [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], but saying it outloud it doesn’t sound nice on the ears either. If you like Juliahna because of the nicknames just name your baby [name_u]Jules[/name_u]…? But yet again that sounds like a measurement of heat in chemistry.

Here are some flower names like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]:

[name_f]Acacia[/name_f]

[name_f]Marigold[/name_f]

[name_f]Zahara[/name_f]

[name_f]Orchid[/name_f]

Here are names similar to Juliahna:

[name_f]Julienne[/name_f] (female version of [name_m]Julian[/name_m])

[name_f]Julitte[/name_f]

[name_u]Julianne[/name_u]

And they all work with the nickanames [name_u]Julie[/name_u] and [name_u]Jules[/name_u]

I think [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] (without the additional H - it just looks awkward and unnecessary with it in there) and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] are both nice, but I do prefer [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] of the two myself, and think it fits and flows with the surname better too. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is nice.

You could ‘combine’ your [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] & [name_m]George[/name_m] into [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f], which is a lovely name, and add [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] in there too so as to have all of your loves - [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] would be nice.

Thank you everyone! Loving this feedback

I like both names. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (the nicknames [name_f]Mags[/name_f] or [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] are adorable). I prefer the spelling [name_f]Juliana[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] the best, and [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Bea[/name_f] is very sweet. Some nicknames: [name_f]Molly[/name_f], [name_u]Mo[/name_u], [name_f]Mila[/name_f] (mee-la), [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Noa[/name_f] etc.
