I think I’m happy with the girl name [name_u]Lane[/name_u] for our baby due in [name_u]August[/name_u]. Could be expanded to be cutesy as [name_u]Laney[/name_u], or could be simple and chill like [name_f]Jane[/name_f], but a bit more unique.
What middle names do you think go well with [name_u]Lane[/name_u]? Our last name is pronounced “leest”

I think [name_u]Lane[/name_u] is wonderful! Personally I think that [name_u]Laney[/name_u] could be a nice nickname expansion rather than the full name, though I believe either would suit you well!

Also, something just occurred to me which might kick out [name_u]Lane[/name_u] altogether:
DS’s name is [name_m]Clark[/name_m]. If I name a baby girl [name_u]Lane[/name_u], it will seem like I have an obsession with Superman, which I do not.
I was totally for [name_u]Lane[/name_u] until I saw what your last name was. I tried saying it out loud a few times and [name_u]Lane[/name_u] ‘Leest’ is difficult to say for me. Not sure if it would be for others. I do love [name_u]Lane[/name_u] though.
I actually like the alliteration! I thought about [name_u]Lexi[/name_u] or [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] too but DH vetoed those.
Our last name doesn’t go well with a lot of names (for instance [name_f]Emily[/name_f]/[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] – too much “leelee” and [name_f]Elise[/name_f]/[name_f]Annelise[/name_f] too much ‘eesssss’) so I’m just going with the slightly challenging pronunciation.
[name_u]Lane[/name_u] is so nice! [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_u]Lane[/name_u] [name_f]Cosette[/name_f]? [name_f]Lisette[/name_f] is beautiful, and I think [name_f]Cosette[/name_f] maintains some of that style.

I’m not a fan of [name_u]Lane[/name_u], I just think of a path or [name_f]Lois[/name_f] [name_u]Lane[/name_u]. Not a Superman fan, but we used to watch the old 40’s cartoon and [name_f]Lois[/name_f] really annoyed me, she was so naive. 
So with a son named [name_m]Clark[/name_m] might be overkill. Is there any reason you can’t just use [name_f]Jane[/name_f]? You can get [name_f]Janey[/name_f] and you wont have the [name_u]Lane[/name_u] ‘[name_f]Leese[/name_f]’ problem. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though it does have the plain jane image I think it is very underused and would love to see a little girl with the name.
