I am having a hard time figuring out a first name for our little miss- set to arrive [name_u]New[/name_u] Year’s [name_f]Eve[/name_f]. We know we want to use [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] for the middle (as its my middle and her daddy is a [name_u]Michael[/name_u]), but we cannot for the life of us decide upon a girls first name. Our last name is [name_f]Cherry[/name_f]. We have narrowed it down to a handful, but are open to other suggestions. Here’s our top so far in no particular order:

[name_f]Maia[/name_f] ([name_f]Mya[/name_f]- but the Greek spelling)
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Ensley[/name_f]
[name_f]Amelie[/name_f]
We are having a hard time because a lot of our friends children are already names our favorites. Help!
Not necessarily. But as I said, totally open for other options. I don’t know why this one is so hard to name- we literally took 10 mins for my son months before he was due.
Thinking more about this… Maybe the problem is that you seem to be drawn to sweet cuddly sounding names and they are too sweet with [name_f]Cherry[/name_f] as a last name. I can see the difficulty in that. I think [name_f]Maia[/name_f] is a really good choice because it’s still cuddly but not too sweet. I don’t know if this will make any sense to you.

Most of your names rhyme with “cherry” except for maia, but than again it will be [name_f]Maia[/name_f] [name_f]Michelle[/name_f]. Maybe that’s why you struggle? Idk, just thinking.
I really like [name_u]Avery[/name_u], But to me the rhyming makes it less appealing. Maybe [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]/ [name_f]Everleigh[/name_f] ? It also has “eve” in it , since she’s due one [name_u]New[/name_u] Years lol , just something I thought of (: . I guess [name_f]Eve[/name_f] could be an option too
Most of your names are popular, and have been for a while. Maybe, if your concerned with clashing with friends names , try some less traditional names? Again, just suggesting
Here are some I love:
Rhea [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] cherry- doesn’t have that mm problem [name_f]Maia[/name_f] has, but is close. It’s a name of a type of bird, similar to dove, lark or robin.
Zara [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] cherry- feels a bit less mainstream-ey than [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], and means blooming flower, which is lovely.
Sailor [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] [name_f]Cherry[/name_f]- no particular rhyme or reason lol, but [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] is one of the few middle names that can go nicely with the lovely sailor (again, my opinion only)
Enya [name_f]Michelle[/name_f] cherry- meaning fire, I like this one as an alternative to Ensly.
There are tons of names on Nameberry, and I’m sure you’ll find the one.
Your list now is solid as well, and out of it my favs are [name_f]Maia[/name_f] and [name_u]Avery[/name_u].
