Looking for something recognisable and familiar but not too common/trendy. Would prefer some suggestions that don’t end with a/ah but open to most as long as they don’t start and end with the same letter (Amelia, [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] for example).
We like [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] but feel [name_f]Imogen[/name_f] and [name_u]Owen[/name_u] are too similar for siblings.
Owen’s my surname, and my sisters and I were: [name_u]Leslie[/name_u], [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], [name_f]Samantha[/name_f], [name_f]Joanna[/name_f]. Family names included [name_f]Margaret[/name_f], Eleanor/Elinor, [name_f]Edith[/name_f], [name_f]Mildred[/name_f], and [name_f]Helen[/name_f].
Since [name_u]Owen[/name_u] is Welsh, why not [name_f]Enid[/name_f], [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], or [name_f]Alys[/name_f]?
There are actually a few Welsh names we like, but there are no Welsh ties in either family so trying to stay away from another Welsh name. [name_f]Carys[/name_f] and [name_f]Dilys[/name_f] were both high on the list. [name_u]Rhian[/name_u] is another favourite but also ends in ‘n’ so might be a bit similar to [name_u]Owen[/name_u]. [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is a possibility but doesn’t flow very well with surname
Thank you for your suggestions so far. I’ve added a couple to the maybe list.
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] is a possible but with a one-syllable surname it doesn’t flow great. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] was on the favourites list but again with the short surname and also with [name_u]Owen[/name_u] it is a bit too similar sounding.
I actually quite like [name_f]Heather[/name_f] and [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], which are names I hadn’t really considered.
