[name]Aeron[/name] - Welsh for berry
[name]Aeronwy[/name]
[name]Oona[/name] (This one’s a bit more of a stretch, but names that begin with the a repetition of the same letter, especially a repetition of the same vowel, are quite rare, so this would honor [name]Aaron[/name] in that respect …)
[name]Ariadne[/name]
[name]Ariel[/name] / [name]Arielle[/name] / [name]Ariella[/name]
My first instinct is [name]Erin[/name], Aerona (also Welsh) and [name]Arianne[/name]. They’re all beautiful names and it would be a great way to honor someone so important in your husband’s life.
I really like the idea of using the same initials. [name]Aria[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is a lovely suggestion that I think would honor [name]Aaron[/name] [name]Joseph[/name] perfectly. [name]Arielle[/name], [name]Ariana[/name], [name]Aurora[/name], and [name]Ariadne[/name] also work well for a first name. [name]Erin[/name] or [name]Josie[/name] as first names would be nice as well.
Ohhhh. I’m so sorry! The very same thing happened to my grandmother last fall. It’s so hard. My prayers are with your family.
I really, really love the idea of [name]Arianne[/name] to honor an [name]Aaron[/name]. It has similar sounds, and I just adore [name]Arianne[/name]. It’s my second choice for a girl! I think [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] or [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Josefina[/name]/[name]Josephina[/name] would be lovely. I also like [name]Arabella[/name] and [name]Aurora[/name]. [name]Aria[/name] is nice, but it doesn’t honor an [name]Aaron[/name] quite as much, I don’t think.
My only new thought was [name]Sharona[/name], haha, like from the TV show Monk… not sure it’s a very good choice, though. I agree that [name]Erin[/name] or [name]Aerin[/name] would be a great way to honor him, too.
Aerona is gorgeous! I would go with that if I were you.
I also love [name]Arabella[/name] and [name]Aria[/name]. Not really feeling [name]Arianne[/name] though – it feels so forgettable to me when there are so many other variants of that name regularly used ([name]Ariana[/name], [name]Arianna[/name], etc.). [name]Arianne[/name] just feels washed out to me.
[name]Arwen[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]! I’m such a [name]Lord[/name] of the Rings nerd. lol I love the idea of honoring FIL with your daughter’s name.
I personally feel like [name]Erin[/name] is dated. I know a girl named [name]Aaron[/name]. She likes her name. I always thought it was neat. I noticed that your signature says…
If it’s a boy: [name]Julian[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]
If it’s a girl: [name]Emmeline[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
What about [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]? You’d still be honoring your FIL.
Aerona [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Arabella[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] and [name]Arianne[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]. All are lovely names that would honor your father-in-law.
Another suggestion is to use some of the same letters in [name]Aaron[/name]…how about [name]Anna[/name]? [name]Anna[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] would be just lovely. I also love the suggestion of [name]Nora[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]! Please let us know how you all are doing!
I think naming a daughter after your father-in-law is very special. And [name]Aaron[/name] is a great name.
[name]Anora[/name] would be really pretty. It contains all the letters in [name]Aaron[/name]. [name]Nora[/name] would also be gorgeous.
Thank you so much for your help Berries! I really do like [name]Nora[/name], it’s a possibility I hadn’t thought of before. I also like [name]Aurora[/name].
So it looks like my list is:
[name]Nora[/name]
[name]Aurora[/name]
[name]Arabella[/name]
[name]Aria[/name]
[name]Do[/name] any of these sound just horrible with the last name [name]Black[/name]? I think they all go okay.
Oh and middle name is definitely [name]Josephine[/name].
