Aimee needs our help! Her daughters are Luna James + Lilia Wren, and now they’re expecting their third girl. Because both of her older daughters have clear symbols associated with their names, they’d like the same for this new baby, too.
Great challenge, [name_u]Abby[/name_u]! I’ll follow your lead with the emoji criteria.
If we’re sticking to an ‘L’ theme, my first thought was [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]! Has a clear lioness symbol (sorry, no lioness emoji!) – a strong, exciting name to represent the fiery nature of a young girl.
Since [name_f]Luna[/name_f] means “moon” and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] means “lily” or “bird”, I thought a name that related to the sun would be a beautiful way to tie the two names together.
Some names that can mean “sun” and go nicely with the other two girls…
[name_u]Akira[/name_u]
[name_f]Eleni[/name_f] / [name_f]Elora[/name_f]
[name_f]Soleil[/name_f] / [name_f]Solara[/name_f]
[name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] / [name_u]Sunny[/name_u]
[name_u]Or[/name_u] perhaps any other sky-themed name, since [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] can both be interpreted that way…
[name_f]Celeste[/name_f]
[name_f]Julia[/name_f]
[name_f]Alba[/name_f]
[name_f]Zora[/name_f]
[name_u]Aster[/name_u]
[name_f]Lyra[/name_f] (also can connect to music)
[name_u]Vega[/name_u] (swooping eagle - best of both worlds!)
How about a classic water-themed name?
[name_f]Maribel[/name_f]
[name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_f]Selkie[/name_f] (pretend there is a seal emoji here!)
[name_f]Oceania[/name_f] / [name_u]Ocean[/name_u]
[name_f]Mayim[/name_f] / [name_f]Maya[/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] top choices for [name_f]Aimee[/name_f] are:
[name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Leonie[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Elora[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Soleil[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Alba[/name_f] (Alba is my top choice for [name_f]Aimee[/name_f]! It means “dawn”.)
[name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_f]Luna[/name_f], [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], and [name_f]Maya[/name_f]
@MeredithWS - [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] is genius!
@Oblivious_octopus - Sky/e would work, wouldn’t it? [name_u]Love[/name_u] it as a middle for them, too.
@columbiacharm - Really drawn to [name_u]Ember[/name_u]!
@kasatka - Yes, [name_f]Leonie[/name_f] is perfect! And the sun/sky idea is wonderful. [name_f]Eleni[/name_f] sounds amazing with [name_f]Luna[/name_f] and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] - a strong L sound, but it’s not actually an L name …
I love [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], but I always wonder if it’s a pronunciation nightmare?
@LouC - oh, [name_f]Olive[/name_f] shortened to [name_f]Liv[/name_f] is kind of genius …
If you really wanted to lean into the “L” thing, I love [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] and [name_u]Laurel[/name_u] too, and there is also [name_f]Linnea[/name_f], but I wouldn’t do it, personally. I think I would constantly mix all the names up.
If not [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], I think I would expect to see [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] in this sibset.
