Hello all! I’m looking for an Irish/Scottish/Celtic name for my baby girl. We have a short list that I’ll post below but for some reason none of them feel right!

[name_f]Ailish[/name_f]- I really like this one in theory, but have trouble picturing it on a real person. Is it too out there?
[name_f]Aisling[/name_f]- This is another one I like in theory but can’t see myself actually using, I’m not really sure why.
[name_f]Ciara[/name_f]- [name_f]Love[/name_f] this one but I have a niece named [name_f]Cara[/name_f] and this just seems too close
[name_f]Nora[/name_f]- My husband says it’s too “old ladyish”
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]- I find it kind of hard to say, tbh

I like [name_f]Aisling[/name_f] on paper, but not the correct “[name_f]Ashlynn[/name_f]” pronunciation. I also looked for these types of names but had trouble coming up with much. So our middle name choice is a Gaelic word (synonym for my name). Here are my other favorites:

I’m Irish and I’ve found that I just don’t like most Irish names! The best one is my own, [name_f]IMO[/name_f]! lol
