I am looking for girls names from literature. They don’t even have to be names. Any inspiration from any reading. After reading Eat, Pray, [name_u]Love[/name_u] and learning [name_f]Carina[/name_f] meant cute in Italian I loved it as a girls name. Also looking for names NOT mentioned on the nameberry list. Anybody else get similar inspiration from a book? Thank you!
I fell in love with Anaxandra after reading the book [name_f]Goddess[/name_f] of Yesterday (which I loved!)
I fell in love with the names [name_f]Xanthe[/name_f] and Polyxena after reading the book [name_m]Troy[/name_m] by [name_u]Adel[/name_u]é Geras. (I would not recommend this book. It was awful) but I loved the names
I fell in love with [name_f]Annabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f], [name_u]Piper[/name_u], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Selina[/name_f], [name_f]Bianca[/name_f], [name_m]Zo[/name_m]ë, [name_f]Thalia[/name_f], and [name_f]Reyna[/name_f] because of [name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m]
[name_f]Primrose[/name_f], [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f], [name_u]Clove[/name_u], and [name_u]Rue[/name_u] because of The Hunger Games
I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and Esmé because of Series of Unfortunate Events
I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], [name_f]Bree[/name_f], [name_f]Renesmee[/name_f] (don’t judge!) because of Twilight.
I discovered [name_u]Pepper[/name_u] and [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] in books as well. [name_u]Onyx[/name_u] from Vampire Kisses and [name_u]Pepper[/name_u] from I don’t remember now. I want to say it was Dead Is The [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_m]Black[/name_m] but I’m probably wrong.
I love [name_f]Cecily[/name_f] because of The Importance of Being [name_m]Ernest[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] because of [name_m]Romeo[/name_m] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f].
There’s probably more that I love because of books, but I can’t remember all of them.
Edit: Also, Madeleine because of the series School of Fear (LOVE this trilogy)
Cleo and Ellington because of All the Wrong Questions
Drucilla because of Time of The Witches
Capulet because of Romeo and Juliet
Cassandra, Antigone, Athena, Artemis, Ambrosia, Persephone, Pallas, Arsinoë etc. are from Greek Mythology, but I wasn’t sure if they counted. (Polyxena is also from Greek mythology, but I didn’t discover it from Greek mythology)
Also, Minerva and Diana from Roman Mythology. Current GP name Isis from Egyptian mythology.
I’m not sure I can top PP’s list, but I felt like sharing some favourites! (Although I’ve read more teen-aimed books than adult books)
Since [name_m]Roald[/name_m] Dahl’s novels played such an important role in my life, of course I fell in love with:

I learned to love [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] and [name_m]Wilbur[/name_m] from, well, take a guess!
I also developed a love for [name_u]Rue[/name_u] from The Hunger Games, [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] from The Fault In Our Stars and [name_f]Kara[/name_f], Taff & [name_f]Constance[/name_f] from The Thickety. I also love [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] from a book I can’t remember the name of.
I’m sure I’m forgetting a ton, and a lot of these are guilty pleasures, but here goes:

[name_f]Estella[/name_f] from Great Expectations
