Hello, good day or evening, dear Berries!
Today’s protagonist is Gisela and her variants. Have been obsessed with it for quiet a while!
First of all…
What is your favourite variant? (In general, for you or for me)
- Gisela
- Gisele
- Giselle
- Gisella
Any thoughts appreciated!
Giselle/Gisele is light, airy, balletic and very much [name_u]French[/name_u] to me. I see pink silk, magnolia blossom, Parisian streets in the spring, champagne bubbles, hair tied up in ribbons, watercolour paintings, cardigans over light cotton dresses. I’d imagine a [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] to be artistic, dreamy, bubbly and very kind. [name_f]My[/name_f] favourite nickname is definitely [name_f]Gigi[/name_f]

I love [name_f]Gisela[/name_f] and have it on my own list. I generally prefer names that end in -a over the plain -e ending. And I prefer simplified spellings. Which is why [name_f]Gisela[/name_f] is my favorite over [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] and [name_f]Gisella[/name_f].
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite nicknames are [name_f]Gigi[/name_f] and [name_f]Sela[/name_f].
The vibe it gives me is fancy and mysterious. Like a ballerina or an “it” girl type of vibe.

I love [name_f]Gisela[/name_f] and Giselle!! The other two are still nice sounding but the spelling looks off to me

Which pronunciation do you use?
I think [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] is my favourite - I like the elle ending

I work with a [name_f]Gisela[/name_f]! She’s super hip. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite variant is [name_f]Gisele[/name_f], but all are lovely!

The pronunciation depends on the spelling (German or [name_u]French[/name_u] pronounciation)
Prefer [name_f]Giselle[/name_f] but I liked [name_f]Gisela[/name_f] yesterday too! Only versions I actively dislike are [name_f]Gisele[/name_f] (not sure why?) or Gizela… I just don’t like the harshness of that Z. [name_u]Super[/name_u] pretty name though!
