Give me one name!

[name_f]Sahar[/name_f]

Not my top favorite but I keep going back to this name. I love the sound of it. It feels regal, strong, and romantic. The meaning “dawn” is very pretty and I think of the sun rising and reflecting sand dunes.

For the past couple years, [name_f]Fenna[/name_f] has been that one unusual name most people don’t speak about but always makes me smile and makes my heart happy, so her.

I love that she feels so familiar via [name_f]Emma[/name_f] and [name_f]Jenna[/name_f] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u], but she’s still so unusual, too! Her meaning “peace” puts my heart at ease. This world seems to be getting crazier every single day with fighting and unrest in Ukraine, Taiwan, and even more now, [name_u]Israel[/name_u], tensions between political parties are high, Covid has wrecked our economies, and mental health is at all-time lows… so few people these days have peace. It’s heartbreaking. [name_f]My[/name_f] own mental health has been a huge battle for years and years now, and a name that embodies peace - peace, what a beautiful gift! [name_m]Just[/name_m] the thought of her brings me joy and settles my soul. What a gift for a name to embody something so lovely and powerful… I could meet a dozen Fennas every single day and I’m not sure I would tire of her.

… but if you are up for more names, here’s two more - [name_f]Fiorella[/name_f] and [name_f]Fioralba[/name_f]! I love the Italian floral imagery and the unusualness of them both (“little flower” and “white flower” respectively, I think). I would be tickled pink to meet little ones of either name. The unusual bit princessy-girly feel of them both is super fun, and I love the nn options (Fia, [name_f]Ella[/name_f], [name_u]Alba[/name_u], etc.!).

[name_f]Miriam[/name_f] [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is my most recent girl combo. [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] feels like such a sweet and friendly name but unique and not one I hear too often in the Midwest. Nicknames could be Miri/Mimi/Mary but I think [name_f]Miriam[/name_f] stands on her own. [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] is my mother-in-law’s name and such a classic.

my name that i’d like to gush about today is…

[name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f] :bouquet:
she’s sweet but strong, spunky and cute! i loove the nicknames and there’s so many to choose from - [name_u]Tiger[/name_u], Tigra, [name_f]Tiggy[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], Lils… my favorite is [name_u]Tiger[/name_u]! also, the flower tigerlily is simply gorgeous. in the victorian flower language, it symbolises confidence, pride and affluence which is lovely!

i can picture a little girl [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f] always giggling and cartwheeling; a firecracker in the best way possible. i can picture a teenage [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f] who is confident, strong-willed and has a welcoming energy to everyone around her. i can picture an adult [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f], elegant, confident and compassionate who always has something interesting and helpful to offer. i can picture an elderly [name_f]Tigerlily[/name_f], stunning her grandchildren with wild and crazy stories.

thank you for reading!
