Hey guys, just thought I’d make a list of the names of both the minor and major characters in the popular TV series, Spartacus. Some of these names are really quite lovely, and it’d be a shame to see them go to waste!
Some of these would be quite a brave choice to name your child! Would anyone here chose a name from this list? There are a choice few that I think would work well in the real world!
So funny! I was just about to post something like this but figured I’d check to see if someone already had. I’ve been obsessed with Ilithyia ever since I heard it. From what I’ve read, it’s derived from the Greek goddess of childbirth and midwifery - interesting given her story line. The other names I would consider are: [name]Asher[/name] (this spelling), [name]Amelia[/name] (this spelling), [name]Aurelia[/name], [name]Mira[/name], and (if I get brave enough) [name]Gaia[/name].
[name_m]Spartacus[/name_m] names are the best! I love [name_m]Spartacus[/name_m] itself, though it’s not exactly usable (except for a pet—I’d love a dog named [name_m]Spartacus[/name_m]), and Varro, as well as Pietros. For girls, I love [name_f]Lucretia[/name_f], Ilithyia, Naevia, [name_f]Mira[/name_f], and Saxa. The rest vary based on my opinions of the characters.
I love the names from [name_m]Spartacus[/name_m] too. Last year I named my hamster [name_m]Spartacus[/name_m], such a tiny fluffy animal needs a masculine name;)
I love Barca and Naevia, but they would be difficult to use here in Denmark (Barca would be pronounced Barsa, and people would believe he was named after FC [name_f]Barcelona[/name_f]).
I think you forgot Gannicus. It’s a pretty cool name too, but it would also be difficult to use in Denmark.
