Gloria and Clara? Too similar?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m],

We are debating a girls name for our third daughter coming soon! Our first two girls are named [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. These are both family names, but we don’t have any more family names we want to use. I have been very skeptical of using a name ending in “-a” because I really don’t want the girls’ names to be too matchy (I was one of three girls and I’m very sensitive that they have individual names, not matchy or themed).

However, my husband is now convinced that our third daughter should be named [name_f]Gloria[/name_f]. Are [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] too similar? I think they are, he thinks they aren’t. We both love the name, just a question of whether we “can” use it with our other daughters’ names.

Thanks!!

Tbh I think it sounds a little clunky with [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and definitely too ‘matchy’ with [name_f]Clara[/name_f] BUT this is just my opinion and if you love the name, then you must use it.

I think [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] sounds perfectly lovely with [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]! I don’t think they’re too matchy at all. I think they all complement one another well, actually.

I don’t believe they are too similar, the only similarity is the -a sound at the end and the -l after the first letter. [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] match well. [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] also ends in -a so it works well!

I don’t think they are too matchy at all. [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] is so pretty and I haven’t heard of anyone using it for a long time. We actually considered it for this baby.

[name_f]Gloria[/name_f] is lovely. If you still aren’t sure what about [name_f]Zelda[/name_f]?

I don’t find them matchy at all.

I don’t find that they match at all

It fits just fine

No problem [name_f]IMO[/name_f]!

There are SO many girls names that end in ‘a’, it can’t be very hard to end up with 3 of them that don’t rhyme and sound nice together. [name_f]Susanna[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], and [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] don’t rhyme or sound too similar, you don’t have an ‘-ia’ ending yet, but there are lots of other options to test out if you want.

[name_f]Lyra[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Aria[/name_f]
[name_f]Amara[/name_f]
[name_f]Melissa[/name_f]

I don’t think they are too similar. I actually didn’t even notice that they all ended in A until after you mentioned it so it’s not in your face matchy to me. I think [name_f]Gloria[/name_f] goes really nicely with your daughters’ names as well.
