What do you think of the name [name_m]Golden[/name_m]? What gender do you prefer it on? Do you think Kpop demon hunters were cause it to gain popularity?
I like the name for girls and not boys. [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] would make a great nickname. However it makes me want to sing golden!
i think it’s sweet for either sex but i prefer it for a girl, simply because i adore [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] as a nickname, like you mentioned 
i am not familiar with kpop demon hunters, but i think it may gain traction in the US due to it being used by [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_f]Brittany[/name_f] Mahomes! it makes me think of [name_m]Golden[/name_m], CO, as well. 
It definitely leans masc for me. Similar sounds to [name_m]Holden[/name_m] and [name_m]Gordon[/name_m]. I personally don’t like it.
I quite like it as a middle name for any gender, but I do not think I would consider it for a first name—though [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] is very sweet!
I don’t love it as a first, even though I love nn [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] (prefer it as a standalone or a nickname for Marigold). It makes me think of the [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Styles[/name_m] song. I’m not familiar with Kpop [name_m]Demon[/name_m] Hunters so don’t know that connection.
To me it comes across as a surname name, because it is my mother’s last name and my middle name, so it feels unisex to me. I also haven’t seen Kpop [name_m]Demon[/name_m] Hunters, but it’s a noun that I think wouldn’t stay too associated with the movie unless there is a well-known character with that name or something.
[name_m]Just[/name_m] makes me think of [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] mahomes. He named his kids after metals kinda. I think it would be better on a girl too.
Golden feels quite warm and positive as a name, and I can see the appeal of it as a word name. I personally picture it more on a girl than a boy, especially with nicknames like Goldie which feel very sweet and wearable. But it does have similar sounds to more masculine names so I can see it for a boy as well.
As someone who’s seen K-pop Demon Hunters a few times, I didn’t immediately think of the song when reading Golden in a name context, but I can see how people currently might associate it with the film/song, especially since it’s been quite popular globally. That said, I think the association would be stronger if there were a character actually named Golden, rather than it just being used as a word name. So I’m not sure it would automatically feel tied to the movie for everyone, but for some parents/kids right now it probably would be.
In regards to the movie impacting popularity, maybe a little, but I’m not sure it’s the main driver of popularity. I do think for some parents right now the song is probably very stuck in their heads, so they might be more aware of Golden because of that, or even a bit over it!
At the same time, I can definitely imagine some kids being really into the film and asking for names like Rumi, Mira, Zoey, and maybe even Golden. It wouldn’t surprise me if those associations show up more with younger families, at least for a while.
I love [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] as a nickname for a girl, but [name_m]Golden[/name_m] as a full name isn’t to my taste. it could work well as a middle name though- it’s versatile.
I think it works as a name but I don’t think I’d use it personally. My favourite [name_f]Goldie[/name_f] full name for a girl is [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]! I would probably use [name_m]Golden[/name_m] as a middle name
I think it’s established enough as a word that people wouldn’t think of KPop [name_m]Demon[/name_m] Hunters but some people might ? It probably also depends on whether people associate the film with you. If it’s your favourite film and you love the song and people know that, they probably will think of it, but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. [name_m]The[/name_m] name has more than just the pop culture association. It would be a cute name/middle name for someone born in the summer for example
