I just had to post this as soon as I got home from work.
A coworker of mine was telling me about her 2nd grandchild being born last week & of course I asked about the name!
[name]Miller[/name] [name]Birdie[/name] was born last week, she has a big sister named [name]Goldie[/name] [name]LaRue[/name]!!
I honestly don’t know what to think!
[name]Miller[/name] is not to bad, but the mn [name]Birdie[/name]??? Makes me laugh. [name]Goldie[/name] is a bit weird and I think of [name]Goldie[/name] locks, which I’m sure lots of kids will point out.
[name]Goldie[/name] is nice, but its a family name for me, so I guess I’m used to it. [name]Goldie[/name]/[name]Golda[/name] has a very Old Country sound to it to me.
I find [name]Miller[/name] to be exactly what I don’t like in a name. Prefer [name]Birdie[/name] to [name]Miller[/name].
[name]How[/name] strange! My mother just told me that her good friend became a grandmother to [name]Miller[/name] [name]Birdie[/name] nn. [name]Millie[/name]. The grandmother lives in [name]Arizona[/name] and i know that her daughter does lives in a different state.
I love [name]Goldie[/name] (I picture spunky like [name]Goldie[/name] hawn). [name]Miller[/name] I also adore but only for a boy. [name]Birdie[/name] and [name]Goldie[/name] make sense as a sibset, but [name]Miller[/name] is so strong and surnamey that it doesn’t fit with eclectic and vintage [name]Goldie[/name]. Interesting indeed!
