What does D stand for? Everyone says DH, DD, DS etc. Of course H, D and S are Husband, Daughter and [name]Son[/name], but what about the first D?! I could only guess Dear… I know I sound really dumb, but I was just wondering!
haha, I had to look it up. I found two: one is darling, and the other is… not a very nice 4 letter word… so I’m assuming everyone means the first.

I always thought it was Dearest, but Darling makes sense as well
[name]Don[/name]'t feel dumb, it took me AGES to figure it out before I asked someone! I always think of it as “dear”, but any term of endearment starting with D works (such as darling).
D= Dear. so DS, Dear [name]Son[/name], DS Dear [name]Sister[/name], DH Dear Husband etc
I’ve never heard anyone say DS referring to their sister
