Hey! So as we all know there are a lot of beautiful names, but the meanings of some of them? Not as beautiful. So, I thought I’d create a thread where we can share names we really like that don’t have the best of meanings, here are my top one:

I love the name [name_f]Leah[/name_f], but for me, “weary” doesn’t feel like a bad meaning, just slightly melancholy.

Mary - “bitter” (it has other meanings, but [name_f]Maura[/name_f], for example, is a variation that just says “bitter” for the meaning)
Kennedy- misshapen head

I have a few more to add, but I want to start by saying a lot of these depend on one’s perspective. I like names that are a bit “darker” as opposed to meanings like “pure” or “innocent” etc, so I don’t necessarily think they’re “horrible” but I see how other people can think that…

Some of the above mentioned names/meanings I actually love… like [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f] meaning phantom queen I think is really cool. And [name_u]Delaney[/name_u] meaning dark defender is awesome!

I don’t actually think some of these meanings are inherently bad ([name_f]Maeve[/name_f], [name_f]Zilla[/name_f], [name_f]Morrigan[/name_f], [name_u]Delaney[/name_u]), but I can see why others wouldn’t like them.
