Recently, [name_f]Grace[/name_f] had started to appeal to me as a middle name for a boy. On a girl it’s nice, but an expected middle name; I think it’s just as nice on a boy! As a virtue name with somewhat unisex sounds, it seems a prime candidate for a gender swap.
What do you think of [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as a boy’s middle? Is it usable?
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorite current combination is [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]. [name_m]Can[/name_m] you think of any?
Grace is such an expected girls name, I think if I saw a full name with [name_f]Grace[/name_f] as the middle I’d expect the first name to be a gender bend! I’m not quite sure I like it on a boy or that it is good for a gender swap (I don’t like those in general, especially for established names like [name_f]Grace[/name_f]/Elliot/etc) but it would definitely be fresh and unexpected on a boy.
I love [name_u]Levi[/name_u] as a name, so I guess [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] gets my vote even if I don’t love [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
I think it would be a cool, fresh middle name for a boy! However, I would definitely pair it with a more traditionally masculine first name. [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is great!
Other combos:
[name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_u]Timothy[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_m]Alan[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_m]William[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
I actually really like grace on a boy. It has always sounded unisex to me and I never understood why no one thought to use it on a male. You may get a little confusion over the gender but I don’t think that is a problem . You might not want to use [name_u]Levi[/name_u] though because [name_u]Levi[/name_u] could be a girls name. [name_m]How[/name_m] about something more masculine like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] or [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u]
@MagnoliaE, I like [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], [name_m]Henry[/name_m], and [name_u]Ezra[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!
@EagleEyes, I like [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f].
@selkieplants, [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_u]Benjamin[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] are wonderful, although you’re right; I’ve never considered [name_u]Levi[/name_u] on anything but a boy, so I should keep in mind any confusion it might cause.
I absolutely love [name_f]Grace[/name_f] on a boy! I’m actually not a fan of [name_f]Grace[/name_f] on a girl, it feels so overused to me. It’s unexpected and cool on a boy though. If [name_u]Gray[/name_u] and [name_u]Grayson[/name_u] are popular boy names, why not [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!
I am a big fan of more ‘feminine’ sounding names on boys though, so that’s probably why!
[name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is lovely. I also really like the suggestion of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!
It’s a word so who can say a word has a gender (at least in [name_f]English[/name_f], they don’t!) So go for it! Let the boys have a chance with [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
Absolutely! First and foremost, [name_u]Levi[/name_u] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is a gorgeous name! Secondly, it’s so overused for girls. For boys, it looks fresh and it’s a word name so I don’t see why it can’t work!
I think it’s wonderful! I do think I would avoid unisex names in the first spot, since people would probably assume it’s a girl, but that’s just my opinion.
Thank you! Ooh, [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] is wonderful. If I wasn’t pretty much set on my [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] combo, that might sway me. I also love [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]!
I think [name_m]Evander[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f] has a nice ring to it.
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_m]Jacobi[/name_m] [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
