So DH and I really like [name_m]Graham[/name_m] (2 syllables [name_u]Gray[/name_u]-um) and I thought it would be nice to pair with a middle name that starts with E to honor my dad who is [name_u]Gary[/name_u] [name_m]Eugene[/name_m] they would have the same 1st and middle initials. We were really loving [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] Cook then I found out [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is a cook, a famous chef who is on the show Master Chef. Should we avoid this combo? Our next favorite was [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m] Cook but it’s just not the same. Thoughts and suggestions please.
Who? That was my first reaction. Master Chef is just a flash in the pan excuse my pun 
whereas your [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] will have a wonderful name for a lifetime. Besides, who else outside of family will know his mn? I really like the connection to your father and I agree [name_m]Edward[/name_m] doesn’t have the same magic.
No one will bother if [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is a chef (interesting tho that you’re last name is cook lol) so if you are digging’ the name combo, stick with it.

I think its very amusing that your last name is cook and you noticed the name you chose is of a chef you know of. But I have know idea who he is… You’re probably safe… I imagine, unless he is a big part of your life or something I assume its a reality tv thing or a cooking show and as such only diehard fans of the show? Would see a connection. Middle names also aren’t something you throw around all over so likely it will never come up, I would be suprised.
He is a pretty famous chef, not just a guy on a reality tv show.

I don’t think that is a name that would get a kid teased. I’m familiar with the chef and I still wouldn’t think anything of meeting a boy named [name_m]Graham[/name_m] Cook, even [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] Cook. Great name!
FWIW, [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] was actually born as [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] Bowles. (HA…“Bowls” and “Cook”…I guess you can’t get away from the cooking theme!) I don’t know if knowing his last name is Bowles makes you feel any better about using the name, but it’s food for thought!
I watch cooking shows before bed almost every night (I know, how cool am I?) And I didn’t make the connection, so I think you will be okay.
