We didnāt really have nicknames for our grandparents the way people do it today. The closest thing were my great-grandmothers, Grandmama and Nuni, but those were chosen by them and not the grandkids. We just said Grandpa and Grandma LastName.

In the future, Iād love for my grandparent name to be organically chosen by my grandkids. I think itās adorable when the kids try to say grandma and come up with something else that sticks.
