Thanks to all of you who have helped us in our search for the right name for our baby girl.
I was searching to name her after my grandmother. However, after many suggestions, I realized that another person I wanted to honor, my brother, had the perfect name for her. His name is [name]Clinton[/name] [name]Taylor[/name] and [name]Taylor[/name] just clicked. It goes so well with our other daughter’s name [name]Dakota[/name]. They will both have tom-boyish names. My brother is severely handicapped and was just placed on hospice at age 23. He has been a light in my life and I always wanted to carry him on in some way.
So our daughter’s name will be [name]Taylor[/name] Emiko (Eh-mi-ko) which means “Child graced with beauty” in Japanese. My husband is Japanese so all our children have Japanese middle names.
Now, I am thinking about nicknames for our sweet girl.
Can any of you suggest creative girly nicknames for [name]Taylor[/name]?
The obvious ones being [name]Tay[/name], and T. I’ve also thought of [name]Lori[/name] and [name]Taya[/name].
Also can I say even though its not a typical berry name I love [name]Taylor[/name] and [name]Tayla[/name] was an option for my name and I like it a bit more then my actual name.

[name]Taylor[/name] on a girl is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine.
I don’t think it needs a nickame tbh, she’ll probably get [name]Tay[/name] in the playground. [name]Lora[/name] could also work (said like [name]Laura[/name]) or even [name]Tor[/name]/[name]Tori[/name] (taking the start and end of the name). Though chances are you’ll find something completely unrelated to her name as a nickname, more connected with her personality, once she’s born.
My name is [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], and I have been called [name_u]Tali[/name_u] ever since I was a little girl. [name_u]Tali[/name_u] is a Hebrew name that means “dew”, which I learned only recently, and I love it. Another nickname I get from my family is [name_f]Tia[/name_f]. Not sure why, but both of those things have always stuck. Funnily enough, my husband is Japanese as well, and Emiko was one of our top three choices if we were going to have a girl (turns out we have a little boy on the way, so we’re now going with [name_m]Hiroshi[/name_m]). Only, I’m doing a Japanese first name and an English middle.
