I’m new to the site and expecting my first child. We don’t want to know the gender yet (might later but we don’t want to just yet) so we have started coming up with names. I have degrees in [name_m]Roman[/name_m] and Greek mythology and it’s a big part of not only my career but my family.
My name is [name_f]Kalypso[/name_f] (yes I’m Greek and yes, like the [name_u]Calypso[/name_u] from Greek Mythology), and last name is Italian starting with a G. We are looking for practical names but i love [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and if we could make that work i somehow would.
Boys- We are looking at either [name_m]Theodoros[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. It’s a family name so we wanted to keep that but we need a middle name.
Girls- We liked [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] but I desperately need more options for both.
Sorry to overload with all the information but we have no idea what we’re doing with this. Thank you so much for taking the time!
Of course there’s miles more. Some of these are perhaps more suited to middle names, but there are a lot of lovely names. [name_f]Clio[/name_f] was a name I used to consider naming future children, but then I learned about the [name_m]Renault[/name_m] [name_f]Clio[/name_f], which not only will be most peoples first thought, but also is pronounced differently
I think that [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] has a sleek enough sound that it could work as an everyday name. [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] or even [name_f]Andromeda[/name_f] [name_f]Selene[/name_f] would be gorgeous! I love [name_m]Theodoros[/name_m]/[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. What about [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]?
