Greyson/Grayson for a girl?

We’re looking for names for you baby girl; would [name_m]Greyson[/name_m]/[name_m]Grayson[/name_m] work for a girl? I just [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] as a nickname. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think it’s too boy-ish? Any other similar ideas?

Thank you!!

Yes! I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] this name and is definitely not too boyish! We have a girl in our family names [name_m]Greyson[/name_m] who is 15. If it wasn’t for this, I’d use it myself! It’s one of my favorites! It’s beautiful!!!

I’m opposed to naming a daughter any name ending in -son that specifcally references a male son.

Then spell it [name_f]Gracen[/name_f]

Then spell it [name_f]Gracen[/name_f]. And the phonetics are the same… no one actually says -son… they say -sen, -cen.

It’s about the meaning and origins, not the sound.

I agree with roseofjune, I really don’t like [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] for a girl. BUT, like someone else said, the spelling [name_f]Gracen[/name_f] makes it feel like a completely different name to me–and much more fitting for a girl.

Gracyn, [name_f]Gracen[/name_f], Graecin, Graecyn, Graicyn

I like it!

She’s your kid so you can name her whatever you want, but [name_m]Grayson[/name_m], [name_m]Greyson[/name_m], or [name_f]Gracen[/name_f] just seems like such a waste to me. Of all the names in the whole world with beautiful meanings, epic histories, and lilting phonology, the best is [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]? I personally would name her [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and call her [name_u]Gray[/name_u].
