Guess Mariah Carey's Twins' Names

As of this past [name]Saturday[/name] morning, [name]Mariah[/name] [name]Carey[/name] and [name]Nick[/name] [name]Cannon[/name] are the parents of twins: a boy and girl. No word of the babies’ names yet- they wanted to tell friends and family first. I imagine they will probably announce the names in the next few days. However, [name]Mariah[/name] revealed that both names start with M . . .

I have no guess as to their naming style, but a few names that came to mind are:

[name]Miles[/name] and [name]Minnie[/name]

or maybe . . . [name]Malachi[/name] and [name]Magdalena[/name]
Any other guesses?

I am going to guess:

[name]Madison[/name] and [name]Mason[/name]
[name]Madelyn[/name] and [name]Matthew[/name]
[name]Maggie[/name] and [name]Myles[/name]
[name]Margaret[/name] and [name]Michael[/name] or
[name]Maria[/name] and [name]Mickey[/name].

Good guesses.

A couple of other set that came to mind:

[name]Manuel[/name] and [name]Malia[/name]

[name]Maxwell[/name] and [name]Madison[/name] - [name]Max[/name] and [name]Maddie[/name]!
[name]Mario[/name] and [name]Maria[/name]
[name]Matthew[/name] and [name]Maxine[/name]
[name]Music[/name] and [name]Melody[/name]!
[name]Marvin[/name] and [name]Melody[/name]
[name]Miles[/name] and [name]Melody[/name]
[name]Malachi[/name] and [name]Micah[/name]
[name]Michael[/name] and [name]Michelle[/name]
[name]Melvin[/name] and [name]Melanie[/name]
[name]Martin[/name] and [name]Marissa[/name]
Someone suggested ‘[name]Mariposa[/name]’ which means [name]Butterfly[/name] - good guess!

[name]Mimi[/name] & [name]Michael[/name]

[name]Mariah[/name] has announced the names …

[name]Moroccan[/name] [name]Scott[/name] [name]Canon[/name] and [name]Monroe[/name] [name]Cannon[/name]

not sure about their sons name but I like [name]Monroe[/name] for a girl.

An adjective for a name? I might have understood [name]Morocco[/name], and [name]Rocco[/name] is a cool nickname, but [name]Moroccan[/name] feels very odd to me. Especially with [name]Cannon[/name] as a last name - [name]Moroccan[/name] [name]Cannon[/name]? Huh.

[name]Monroe[/name] on a girl, especially for [name]Marilyn[/name] [name]Monroe[/name], doesn’t feel too odd to me, but with a twin brother named [name]Moroccan[/name], it’s an odd choice, too.

I agree . . . An adjective that is also a description of a nationality . . . I would like it better if it were Morroco and [name]Monroe[/name] . . . Eh, well. Congratulations to the couple.

She could have done worse. [name]Monroe[/name] fits in with [name]Harlow[/name] and [name]Garbo[/name] so it is a win in terms of celebrity baby naming.
While I don’t live [name]Moroccan[/name] ([name]Morocco[/name] would have been edgy but bot too weird) I think [name]Moroccan[/name] [name]Canon[/name] is a pronunciation nightmare. [name]Roc[/name] is an awesome nickname.

[name]Moroccan[/name] is just weird. [name]Morocco[/name] would have been 10x better, while still being really different. Maybe they like it because it’s “rockin’”? I actually love [name]Rocco[/name]/[name]Roc[/name] as a nickname, and I’d think they’d use that instead of [name]Mo[/name] considering sister’s name. [name]Moroccan[/name] [name]Cannon[/name] just makes me think of a canon from [name]Morocco[/name], horrid.

I also can’t stand [name]Monroe[/name] as a girls name. I love [name]Marilyn[/name] [name]Monroe[/name], but [name]Monroe[/name] is a surname, I’ve never understood why a famous person’s last name suddenly becomes connected to their gender, generally with females. [name]Just[/name] as many men have the surname [name]Monroe[/name] as women, why is it a good girl’s name because it was her last name? Makes no sense to me. I love it for boys, hate it for girls. I mean, what can her nickname be? [name]Mo[/name]? [name]Roe[/name]? Ick. So masculine.

Two of my biggest pet peeves in new celebaby trends are all the African country names and the glamour girl surnames. They nailed it. It also annoys me that they jumped on not one, but two bandwagons and are probably going to act like they were sooo original. Also, why two M names, why not give one of the twins an N name?

[name]Even[/name] though I hate the names, I must admit I’m happy. I would have been so disappointed if they’d used anything I even vaguely liked.

[name]Moroccan[/name] and [name]Monroe[/name]. Insta nicknames: [name]Rock[/name] n [name]Roe[/name], baby!

lol. Good call on the nicknames

Seriously though, I do think [name]Monroe[/name] is pretty cute for the little girl. I’m having a hard time picturing [name]Moroccan[/name] as a name though. I think [name]Morocco[/name] is okay, but [name]Moroccan[/name] is just a little much for me. Congrats to them though.

Seriously, spot on comment on the nicknames.

Like those nn ideas! I wonder why [name]Monroe[/name] doesn’t have a middle name?

[name]Moroccan[/name] is just beyond weird. The kid is not [name]Moroccan[/name]! It’s a nationality. I can understand the appeal of the word, it’s a cool word, I guess. But to go for [name]Moroccan[/name] instead of [name]Morocco[/name] to have “rockin” be in the name is just…i donno.

[name]Scott[/name] is [name]Nick[/name]'s middle name, and [name]Mariah[/name] doesn’t have a middle name, so that’s why the girl doesn’t have one. Pretty lame if you ask me, but there you have it.

[name]Rock[/name] and [name]Roe[/name] is pretty cute, I wonder if they’ll call them that. It would make more sense if they were actually rock and roll stars, but, still.

I had a feeling they might be terrible, but [name]Moroccan[/name] may be the worst celeb baby name ever, at least to me. And [name]Monroe[/name]? So random.

I think [name]Monroe[/name], which seems to be inspired by [name]Marilyn[/name] [name]Monroe[/name], is following the trend of using vintage movie star last names – a la [name]Harlow[/name] ([name]Jean[/name] [name]Harlow[/name]) [name]Bardot[/name] ([name]Brigitte[/name] [name]Bardot[/name]), etc. I think the “oe” ending is also following the girls name ending in the o sound trend.

But it kind of reminds me of when [name]Ashley[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] used the name [name]Bronx[/name], blindly copying both the “place name” and “ending in x” trends, but taking them to their ludicrous extreme.

They announced they were named [name]Moroccan[/name] and [name]Monroe[/name].

I actually love [name]Monroe[/name] for a long time but for a boy! [name]Morocco[/name] I thought would be neat for a boy but another celebrity used that for their son, I have [name]Morocco[/name] as a middle name for a boy combo, as for [name]Moroccan[/name] I like that better for a girl it’s cute I could see me adding that to my list since I already have [name]Morocco[/name].

It would make more sense if they were actually rock and roll stars, but, still.[/quote]

At least [name]Nick[/name] is calling them [name]Roc[/name] and [name]Roe[/name] - https://twitter.com/#!/mariahcarey.
